We took a long time to decide on which mattress to purchase because we were disappointed in our previous 2 non-Tempurpedic beds. I really didn't think I wanted a Tempurpedic product - I was pretty set on a firm traditional bed. I have hip problems and believed that would give me the best support, but the assessment tool at our mattress store recommended a ProAdapt Soft. Since we weren't pleased with our previous decisions I decided to trust the science behind the assessment and I'm so glad we did!! From the very first night we have slept great and it turns out that this mattress DOES give me the support I need, and the comfort as well. We also got the adjustable base with a snore feature and we LOVE it! It really does work. We didn't realize it at the time, but the delivery guys didn't know how to set up the sensor so it took us about a week to get it situated, but now that we have it working correctly we couldn't be happier with our choice!

I was skeptical of buying this mattress due to how firm it was, but after the second night I realized that it was an excellent choice for me. I was waking up with my back hurting until I slept on this mattress. It feels so good that now I don't want to get out of bed! There is nothing that I don't like about this mattress.

We owned a Tempurpedic mattress several years ago and loved it. Then we purchased a different brand we have used for years. Recently we bought a new Tempurpedic after testing several at a local furniture store. This mattress is nowhere near as soft as the one we had years ago, and my wife has back issues and cannot sleep on it without pain. We were hoping a couple months use would "break it in" but it has not changed... and the store says cold weather will not help its firmness. We are looking for another mattress to return this one for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I must admit I was bit skeptical at the beginning to spend so much more than a traditional mattress but it was definitely worth every penny. My sleep has improved drastically and we are now upgrading everyone in the house to the Tempur-Pedic experience.

Had a Tempur for years and recently replaced it - the new "firm" model is very hard and the tested "medium" is very squishy. Neither seem to be the middle of the road that the older models were and we are having difficulty getting used to the firmness of the mattresses we bought. Older now and perhaps have more joint aches and pains but we seldomly wake up refreshed but rather with exaggerated aches and pains. Would try the "medium" but not sure that would be better and don't want to be stuck with that should it not work better and we want to switch back again. The trial period is almost up and we are 'conflicted as to what to do with this very expensive and not so comfortable bed system. Also got a set of the most expensive sheets that were never opened and decided we do not need but the store refuses to take them as a return or exchange so we are stuck with nearly $400 in useless product!!! A decent product but one that requires very very careful evaluation before spending the money they demand. In our case we are not much pleased with the purchase and get poor responses from the retailer.

I first went with the Adapt medium and I was very satisfied with the mattress. Just for the heck of it I went back and tried the Pro-Adapt soft and was so impressed I went ahead and upgraded to the Pro-Adapt soft. Best product ever and great comfortable sleep. Best decision I ever made and we'll worth it. I have never had more dreams and it can only be from the deep Rem sleep from this mattress. Very impressed and happy with this. You will never regret this product!

I am just in the market for a Mattress and I visited the Englishtown NJ Store and what clean and beautiful displays with pillow covers given to each person for sanitary reason when trying mattresses so you can lay your head on a pillow and not worry about the last person. I would not want to go to another mattress store again otjer than Tempurpedic.

My original Tempur-Pedic Cloud mattress for a little over 10 years and, although the mattress had held up very well, it was too soft for me now. Switched to the Proadapt Firm and noticed the difference after the first night...no tossing and turning and no morning backache for the first time in almost a year. It's firm, but not so firm that you feel like you're sleeping on the floor. I only with I had purchased it sooner!

This mattress is proving to be much more comfortable than my previous one that was Extra Firm. The mattress give complete support while being much more comfortable to sleep on. I always look forward to going to bed because I know I'll be sleep comfortably every time. I've also noticed my existing bedding fits this mattress as well or better as it is slightly small length and width while being 2 inches deeper. I do need to retuck the top sheet in again every morning after I get out of bed. It is a little more challenging to make my bed as I have to push the bedding around and under the hoop at the foot. I was told I could remove the mattress outer cover and wash it but it will be at least a two or perhaps a three person job as the Mattress is heavier than my previous one and it is not ridgid so it is more difficult to handle. There are four handles attached to the bottom of the mattress outer cover, two on either side to help.

I am a previous owner of a Tempurpedic mattress for 25 years. It was time to upgrade to a new one, so I purchased a Tempur-ProAdapt Medium mattress together with their ProSmart bed base 10 months ago from the Tempurpedic website. The mattress is somewhat comparable to my 25-year-old Tempurpedic mattress but took some time to get use to how much lighter the mattress is and the dimensions of it. Which brings me to this review. I thought a buyer should know that the measurements of the mattresses sold are not 60 x 80. My mattress is 58 X 78 (2 whole inches less) than a typical standard queen size mattress. Their website does have a caveat stating the sizes are approximate, but the two-inch difference in size does cause issues with my fitted bottom sheets bunching nightly because they do not fit tightly on the mattress. I then bought sheets from the Tempurpedic website because they supposedly were designed for their beds and have straps on them to keep them in place but unfortunately, they also bunch up. I mistakenly bought three sets from Tempuredic thinking they would work better for their mattresses, but they do not. In fact, after opening up and using just one set, the other two are sitting in my linen closet unopened. I absolutely love their smart base and highly recommend it. Overall, the Pro-Adapt mattress took some getting used to it since it is built differently from the one I bought 25 years ago, but I still wouldn't trade it for a traditional mattress. The bunching of the bottom sheet during the night is a real nuisance though.
