Our mattress was approximately 15 years old. We always had a topper over the pillow top but as in previous comments, the back knows. Couldn't handle it anymore and since we had slept on a relative with no problem decided on a tempurpedic. We decided on the pro-adapt medium hybrid. Once the sales lady turned on the remotes we were hooked. Now every night we fall asleep vibrating and it is so sweet! Love the cooling pillows and ordered the 2 for 1 sheets not too happy with those. They wrinkle!

I would have given this 5 stars except the top of gel pad is so slick that sheets and Tempur-Pedic's own mattress protector slide around. If Tempur-Pedic would make a mattress protector to actually fit this bed that would stay in place it would be a much better product. Tried it without Smart Climate Dual cover and it is very comfortable but gets very hot.

We thought by now, we'd either love it or hate it. However, we have some good nights sleep and others where the firm mattress is "too" hard. We may end up switching it for the medium; we didn't think it would take this long to make a decision - - still not sure it's for us.

So far I am still trying to get used to the mattress. It's not good or bad, just totally different from anything I've slept on. The associate at the store said to give it 30 days to get used to and I always thought you either like something or you don't but I'm trying to be patient, we're about 3 weeks in. My husband is adjusting much easier than I am.

I admit I had doubts it was as good as advertised, and I am so happy to say I was wrong to have those doubts! From the first night I felt the difference in my sleep and my body when I woke up. It forms perfectly where I need it to, no more waking up in the middle of the night to change positions. My husband is equally satisfied with the mattress, especially not being disturbed when I move around!

My husband and I thought we would give this mattress a try and I really like it! My hips would bother me on our old mattress, but this mattress is so....much better. We had what I call ditches (ha) from our hips and shoulders on the old one. It is not hot at all. It does take a little getting use too. Only issue I have is it's hard to change the sheets. I have my hubby help me and all is good.

Every time I have friends or family visit I let them try out the bed and every person has raved about how nice and comfortable it is. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Several years ago, my chiropractor recommended I just try out the Tempurpedic mattress. I was having back and hip issues and needed constant adjustments. He was a happy customer and was sure this would help solve my problems. I was skeptical, but I valued his opinion. I figured I'd give it a try. I've slept on nothing since. The Tempurpedic is, beyond a doubt, the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. I love that the mattress doesn't tell me where to sleep; I'm in charge of positioning. There are no springs intruding with their input. Further, on my old mattress, there were big indentations left by my husband's and my bodies (we're big people); no such problem with the Tempurpedic. This was my third Tempurpedic purchase; I'll not settle for anything else. As a humorous aside, my daughter supervised the delivery of my new Tempurpedic. After the team put everything together, she plopped herself on it, rolled over a few times and sighed. And Tempurpedic has a new customer!

At first, the mattress felt too firm but as I started to get used to it and break it in I am starting to have a better night's sleep. I have noticed that I do not toss and turn nearly as much sleeping on this mattress compared to my prior mattress that needed to be swapped out under warranty. I am so glad I paid for the upgrade on this mattress. I will say also this mattress is a lot cooler than the Tempurpedic mattress I owned in the past. I will say when it arrived it felt too firm but just sleep on it and it will break in just fine. I will say that it is relatively a thick mattress I needed new sheets as they kept coming undone. So just buy deeper pocket sheets especially if you have an adjustable base like I do that I also purchased.

Not as great as everyone says it is. I was very excited for the cooling feature because I sweat a lot at night and after the first night with this mattress, I've never sweated more in my life. And it's been multiple night, still have yet to notice the cooling feature. Very disappointed that this is non existent..:
