Historically I have purchased relatively expensive traditional mattresses with varying success at comfort. For my last mattress, I moved to a well reviewed traditional name brand, memory foam mattress and had a great experience (I thought) for about the first 3 years; ultimately over the course of the last 2 years developing soft spots and a general feeling of sinking into the mattress worse than I had with traditional mattresses. I don't know how the pro-adapt hybrid mattress will fair over time, but I can tell you it is better on one day one than my all my previous mattresses have been, being incredibly forgiving on body curves while still being supportive. I am 6'1", average around 220 lbs, am a side sleeper, and have had two L5/S1 procedures. Where historically I'd turn over due to pressure points in my shoulder, hips or back (traditional mattress) or felt like I was trying to turn over in wet sand (all memory foam), the pro-adapt med hybrid is perfect for my weight and sleeping style. I acknowledge there is generally a price premium to Tempur-Pedic, and I will have to evaluate performance over the long term, but I definitely feel that this mattress type (hybrid) is executed well, suited to my weight and sleeping style, and that I'm getting a better, much less interrupted night's sleep than I have in perhaps a decade (I turn MUCH less). Recommend the brand, but also recommend taking the time to try out and find the correct version for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've gotten the best sleep i've had in years on this. Medium hybrid is just the right level of firmness for me. The ease 2.0 base is remarkably stable and easy to set up and use. Tip: If getting the base, make sure you get the in home set up or have multiple people to help because it's extremely heavy.

The tempurpedic hybrid model is a quality made mattress as are all of them. I'm just not sure I chose the correct firmness for me. Am still considering changing it out to what my first choice was which was not the hybrid but the pro adapt firm model. The hybrid just doesn't feel firm enough for me.

Due to my husband's back issues, we have changed mattresses over the years like we change shoes. He has slept more hours through the night and is rested in the morning for the first time in years. I have not really cared what mattress we had, but now that we have this bed I'll have a strong opinion! We would recommend going directly to a flagship store to purchase the bed. Yes, this bed is more expensive but it is worth every penny. We have spent far more over the years on mattresses and mattress pads looking for a solution and we had no idea we were just wasting money.

The mattress is very comfortable, occasionally warm, but not bad at all regarding temperature. We were using it with a mattress pad, but decided to not use the pad and just clean the cover every so often; good decision. Also, the cool contour pillows are excellent. A good investment overall.

It's been almost a month now since my purchase and I got to say it is very very comfortable. I'm a side sleeper and coming from a Beautyrest mattress (which slept warm) of 12 years this Pro Adapt Firm affords a cool comfortable sleep. The only problem I am still having is finding the right pillow to sleep on and I do not know if I'll ever find the right pillow. I have this mattress on an adjustable frame and to tell you the truth you have to get one. Reading in bed, watching TV and zero gravity positions are just so great . I had back surgery 8 years ago , the mattress supports me when I change position at night and my night pains are gone. Look, I always kept a pillow under my legs at night because by morning I was jumping in pain with spasms. now with adjusting the bed heights and raising the mattress by my legs no more spasms. In fact my whole body is very relaxed the next morning and I like that. This mattress and adjustable frame is worth every penny spent giving me peace of mind to pay off this expense over time

This is our second set of Tempur-pedic spit king mattresses. They have been great. Our first set developed a dip in the middle after 9 1/2 years. I contacted the company and they made good on their warranty with no problems. I have recommended their product to several people. We have Tempur-pedic split king beds in two locations and we sleep great in both.

This bed is made beautifully - I love everything about it... EXCEPT it is way too firm for what I thought a medium bed should be. My husband likes a firm mattress, I like them softer, so we thought a medium hybrid would be perfect. He is a big man (over 6'4 about 300 lbs.) and I'm half that. What I love is that I don't feel him move throughout the night, or getting up. I don't roll into the center and into him due to the difference in our weight. What I don't like is that I feel like I'm sleeping on the floor. I have tried this bed for 8 weeks now, and it hasn't gotten better. I wake with a back ache (between my shoulder blades) and I'm so disappointed my body won't adjust. I will be returning it for a softer feeling mattress and hopefully, my husband will adjust because he just loves it the way it is....

We absolutely love this bed! Prior to this we had bought a "memory foam" bed on line that was suppose to be amazing (little to no reviews, no one heard of it) and what ended up happening is, it was not good enough! I would get out of bed and my whole body ached! I thought, "I guess this is what old feels like" (I'm 30 years old). My husband stands on his feet all day and would complain of back pain, again we assumed it was being over weight and getting old (he's 33). To our surprise the bed was firmer than the show model and took some getting used to, maybe 5 nights. I immediately noticed a difference when I woke up and stood up from the bed, no pain, and no aches! I feel completely young again! My husband hasn't had back pain since! He has more energy now and we could not be happier! We would recommend this type of bed for everyone! There is a reason why they are the best and we now know, we cant put a price a good sleep! So a couple of things to keep in mind, the mattress takes a while to break in and can sleep warmer than other mattresses. With this in mind, choose appropriate bedding, my wife, and I use cooling sheets and blankets as anyone might in the summertime. After the bed breaks in, it does hug your curves and supports you completely. I have had ours now for two months and feel amazing benefits, no back or neck pain, worth the investment. We have tried other companies that ship in a box, and this is just superior quality and manufacturing. One thing I would like to note is they do have the top cooling layer to their bed with the tight-knit material, but you don't notice when sheets are on, unless you sleep directly on, which I know most would not do as it may void a warranty from stains. I wish Tempurpedic would offer the same quality of knitting for the bed as a sheet or blanket set. Pro is the comfort you will obtain, its truly unlike any other bed and it shows how they made memory foam their own. A con, it's relatively expensive, but its made in the USA and they employ US workers, this means a lot to my family. I suggest this bed for anyone with back pain or special conditions. Perhaps another suggestion I could make is most other companies will offer a full money back warranty with no restocking fees and an extended trial period, Tempurpedic is more conservative compared to others, but, they most likely incur more costs than the others do. Excellent mattress, try it out at a store first before buying, as there are many models. Its all about the right feel for you and your body type/preferences. Great bed, sleeping well!
