The jar is larger than i thought it would be it's glass. The lid comes on and off so you can cover the top when not in use. Definitely worth buying.

Beautiful heavy glass spice grinder mills filled with only real all natural ingredients. There are four of these beautifully designed grinders, i.e. Lemon black peppercorn/pink Himalayan salt chunks/White sea salt chunks/black peppercorns. I bought four sets of these for me and my sons’ families because, once they saw them, they wanted a set for themselves. I should have just bought them all at one time, but I did not realize how luxurious and heavy duty they were nor that everyone who sees them wants them.

When I buy a Sea Salt Grinder I want the salt to be in "rock" form. This is already ground into uniform pieces and basically pours out of the grinder. I cannot truly adjust it to make it smaller or larger. The grinder they used to have did this. This becomes incredibly important when you are trying to control a senior's salt intake while still giving them dignity. I've had to look elsewhere for a proper grinder.
