2016 Accord Sport with direct injected engine seems to love the Mobil1 Extended Performance 0W-20 What I like about it: - Less oil consumption compared to some other 0W-20 synthetic oils including Mobil Advanced Fuel Economy after 5,000 miles of severe driving - Seems to be a more robust stay in grade formulation offering better engine protection which should not change consistency over the oil life monitor in my car which is "very important" especially in these newer Direct Injected and Turbo engines. - Meets car manufacture API specs including SN, SN-RC, SN Plus (regardless of the marking on the label) since 2010 - Engine seems to be a little more quiet on this oil versus Mobil1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 or my brain is playing tricks on me - When my oil life monitor says to change the oil, the Mobil 1 EP is probably at half of its life so, no risk of damaging the engine if you go down to zero percent or need a few days to get into the service department - Few extra dollars for better protection can't be beat - Only downfall is the Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 seems to give a little better fuel economy (1 MPG) however, I'll take the better engine protection with the Extended Performance all day long Perfect oil for my Honda, it loves this stuff!

I have a 08 Camry; always been using fully synthetic motor oil, but this one after I put in this stuff , my engine is running so smooth, doesn't hesitate, increased my mpg and overall it just performs very well and I'll keep on using this product along with Extended Performance oil filter.

Got a 2015 Honda CIvic, little over 45000 miles and has been using 0w-20 Advanced from the beginning. Have been very diligent on changing the oil and has been doing so about every 5000-5500 miles (going by the car's oil life sensor). Thought I give this one a try and really didn't see any huge difference. Currently at 6000 and my oil life sensor is at 5%. Driving conditions & characteristics have not changed but it seems like I only got 500 more miles out of it. Didn't really see any improvement compared to the Advanced fuel economy. Disappointed.

I was hesitant to use such a thin oil in my Honda Element with 140K miles, but both Honda and the Mobil 1 oil selector recommended the 0w-20 Mobil 1 EP so changed it from 5w-20 which I have been using since the car was new. After about 2500 miles(in 90F+ summer) using 0w-20 Mobil 1 EP, no oil consumption, but the color turned very dark. Surprisingly the fuel mileage dropped from 21city/25hwy to 20city/24hwy. This is strange as the 0w-20 is touted to be more fuel efficient than the 5w-20.

Like a few others on here, I also tried both Pennzoil Platinum (5W20), and the hard to find, more expensive, Ultra Platinum. I noticed in our 4 cyl. Jeep, the lifters would clatter loudly on a cold start up, whereas that never happened with Mobil 1 EP. I quickly switched back to M1 EP. Also used 5W20 in my 15+ y/o 5.7 Hemi with great success. Had over 125K miles when traded in. Plan to use 0W20 in new 3.6 Durango.

We have three cars and use nothing but Mobil 1 extended oil. Only put 5000 per changes per manufacture instructions. Nice to know it lasts longer. The cars have always lasted longer than 200,000 plus miles. Take care of the car and it will take care of you.

I always used Mobil 1 until I started watching commercials and reading reviews about Pennzoil Platinum and how better it was. So I used it and it made my engine sound really loud and the RPM's high. As soon as it was time too change the oil I went running and got Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W-20 and thank God I did. My engine is back too running nice and quiet. RPM's are back too low. And my car is back too running nice and smooth. I will never cheat on Mobil 1 ever again.

Just switched from Mobil 1 0W - 40 to 0W - 20 extended 15,000 mile protection. Spent 20 minutes finding the only FRAM filter for our 2006 Saab 95 because the shelf at Walmart had everything messily scrambled together. Got to register....my filter accidentally taken by cashier and put into checkout of previous customer. I was very frustrated but ended up being a good thing. Went to Autozone picked up Mobil 1 filter as replacement. When I removed the FRAM filter and compared to Mobil 1 filter I was surprised. The FRAM filter had a skimpy narrow rubber gasket which was as hard as a rock after 3500 miles, the new Mobil 1 filter had a beefy thick noticeably wider robust gasket seal. I have always been having some leaking from the FRAM filters, but I liked those because of the finger friction grip material they add to cap of filter. However, the Mobil 1 filter was much higher quality I’ll buy a oil filter removal socket instead. I have used Mobil 1 in the Saab now 4 cylinder turbo 138,000 miles, and my Chevy Avalanche at V8 5.3L 180,000 miles with no major engine reapairs. The only repairs on the Chevy was engine tune up at 120, 000 miles, alternator and water pump which had nothing to do with internal engine lubricant. The SAAB has had only the ignition module that wore out at 100,000 miles, a vacuum tube, and the valve cover gasket.....again unrelated to internal engine lubrication. I also use the Mobil 1 10w - 30 in my tractor, mowers, and snowblowers. Who needs to replace or rebuild and engine....I have too many other things in life to spend my hard earned money on. Use Mobil 1 products!
