Exactly what I was looking for.This book is a daily pathway to read the bible chronologically in one year. It is a formally written version of the author's online daily video commentary available on youtube and in the bible recap "plan" on The Bible App from You Version. Buying this book is technically not required but it is good for those who prefer paper with their paper bible. I like paper based and also print the daily journal sheet from the Recap website. I especially love how the author encourages you to reflect not about yourself, but about God and His attributes, names, and ways. A great feature of the Bible Recap is that every book of the bible is Introduced by a video from The Bible Project. The video's illustrations are deeply insightful and described by a great narrator. The Bible Recap is a thorough and thoughtul resource.

I was so excited when I found this. It helps you understand scripture in the order it when it took place.

I wasn't sure about this so I read other reviews and then I still wasn't sure so I bought it, knowing I could return it. Now I like it. If you know the Bible pretty well, this is a great summary/refersher. If you don't know the Bible then this may be just what you need to get you interested. So far I like her style of writing. I wish it was a little bit smaller so that I could take it with me but I understand that right now they don't have a smaller version.

I have tried to read the Bible several times and failed, this book puts the Bible in chronological order and in bite-sized chunks that, so far, are achievable. Then a frank discussion in plain english about what was read is provided. I have found it helpful and motivational.

I am a fan of the Bible Recap so when I saw this beautiful book, I had to have it. I listen to this most days on my app but it is nice having it in print.

This book is great, if your having a hard time reading and understanding the bible, you should give this a try. It pretty much explains the bible in a way that makes it easier to understand and explains. So that when you read the bible, you have a more of an understanding of what they are talking about. So, if your not reading the bible because your not understanding the text or passage, give this book a shot. It comes from someone just like me, who couldn't understand certain passages. My husband and I sit and read, then we talk about it. Trying to get our younger kids in on it, but..its a bit of a challenge hahaha. They will get there soon enough.

Not worth the read. The Bible app has the videos and they are so much better. The book is way too casual. Calling Abraham, Abe. No thank you. It was definitely written to a different audience.
