[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product produces great sound. The slim size makes it barely noticeable ans the subwoofer is easily tucked away. Setup was easy. It takes some manipulation to exactly match sound and picture but overall this soundbar is very good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use our media room throughout the day, everyday, so we try to only install the best bang-for-our-buck hardware we can. We chose the Samsung HW-S800D (3.1.2 channel setup) with the goal of high quality theater-like sound in mind. I’m a pretty big fan of Dolby Atmos’ capabilities, so that alone was a big selling point for me. Set up wasn’t too easy or too hard. The instructions could’ve been illustrated a bit better. The subwoofer didn’t automatically pair with the soundbar like the instructions said it would to, and my wife had to do the manual pairing process a few times to get it to stick. It was worth it though (wife agrees) with how nice the 3.1.2ch setup is. Genuinely great quality for the price.

Meaning if you're an audiophile looking for full enriched sounds this will do well in a bedroom environment (smaller space). For a bigger room no, I would advise against. What it does provide is a quick access for a temporary fix. Like I stated earlier the living room experience. Its worth the price at least when I got it on black friday.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first unboxed the HW-S800D 3.1.2ch Soundbar with Wireless Dolby Atmos, I honestly wasn't expecting to be blown away. Firsy Impressions: The soundbar itself was thin and sleek and weightless. Coming from a sound system that had me bogged with wires and multiple speakers I was positive the Samsung soundbar wouldn't deliver half of what I wad used to. Boy was I wrong. The sounbar itself delivered sound quality better than theaters and the subwoofer that pairs with it offered a ground shaking, blow your mind effect that had my jaw unhinged. How could something so small offer such amazing clarity and sound. It took watching shows and movies to a whole new level. Sound: 10 out of 10 superb! Bass: ground breaking. Literally. I live the deep bass tones I got from the subwoofer. The best sound quality in any piece of equipment I've ever had. Setup: this is where things got tricky. I followed the instructions to the tee because that's the kind of person I am. However once it said to pair up with the smart things app it left me hanging from there to figure out how to pair the soundbar to my TV. Personally I am a tech freak and was able to navigate till I found what I needed to pair the two. However it was nowhere near as basic and simple as I was expecting it to be and those who are not entirely tech or audio savvy may find themselves frustrated. Extras: Other neat features were that rhe soundbar can easily pair with Alexa so I could play songs through alexa on it with a sound and bass I had never heard before. Honestly the speaker paired with alexa easier than it did with my Samsung 2024 Frame TV. Overall: personally I love it. The HW-S800D 3.1.2ch Soundbar with Wireless Dolby Atmos delivered a higher quality set than I was even expecting. Sound quality is pin drop stunning, and your ears will be picking up on things you'd never heard before. The subwoofer is phenomenal and once you figure out how to navigate through the settings you'll have a fantastic time figuring out what works best for your room and fine tuning the sound to your liking. I didn't set my soundbar up in the conventional way because I hate wires and this soundbar has them. With my Samsung Frame TV I simply hid the bar underneath the table in which my TV sits allowing it to be almost invisible and wire free. Recommended- absolutley. Even with the small hiccups i had setting and pairing the soundbar up to my TV it was well worth it.

Purchased less than a year ago. It's on its way to Samsung for repair. It stopped working altogether about a month ago. I have it paired with a Samsung 65 OLED TV for reference. Working with Samsung support; first they had me go through all the troubleshooting steps with no luck. Waited a week for them to send me a new remote (USB-C chargeable, which I have for the TV and I find both are terribly unreliable). Got the new remote...no luck in anything. Today I sent the soundbar, remote and all cords and power supply to them. With any luck, maybe I'll get a working unit back. Terribly disappointed, as I got rid of a spectacular soundbar from another vendor to get one that matched the TV/vendor and is much slimmer in size.

powerful its exactly like if you were in the movie theater plus with Q symphony i cant ever go back to tv speakers this is a must buy period you want the best well buy it and you will see for your self its slim bar with a subwoofer but wow the sound and surround sound from this Samsung hw-s800 is worth every dollar

The surround sound , bass and clarity is great. It was very easy to connect, settings are great. It perfectly fits in my living room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I decided to purchase this soundbar to replace an old soundbar that was at least 10 years old. The Samsung S800D is the model that I chose because I felt that it was a more advanced model and figured I should upgrade to the best one. What caught my eye is the slim design and how nice it looks. It has features such as wireless connection, Bluetooth connection, and HDMI connection. So, for Bluetooth, it does not have a delay in connection with my Samsung TV, which was nice coming right out of the box. I also decided to connect it via Wi-Fi, and it worked very well. I knocked it down a star because I noticed that in comparison to both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, I decided to connect it directly via HDMI, and ultimately, the sound was far better than Wireless The base sound was very rich via Bluetooth and drowned the Voice in comparison with HDMI connectivity. That is why I knocked it down a star. Overall, I would recommend this soundbar if you want a richer sound since it is a better experience when watching shows or movies. The price point is a bit high and might sway a person to purchase different brands in comparison to this one.

It is very thin and discreet in size that it doesn't give away my 65" "Painting" as a TV. The installation is flawless. I use the TV+Soundbar settings (Q-Symphony) and Adaptive sound. It was a total game changer. I experimented with Twisters, Top Gun Maverick movies to test the Dolby Atmos. Its was GOOD. The small subwoofer shows its weakness in a big room. But what can you expect from a 9" woofer. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Awesome soundbar! I have the HW-S800D paired with the 9500s rear speakers and maaaan, this sound bar really shines!. The Dolby Atmos sound is amazing. You hear every detail coming from all angles even above your head. Everything works seamlessly with the Q-symphony feature from my S95C. I also had the S800B which was also great, but I noticed the S800D really sounds more crisp and detailed thanks to the updated eARC cable. I'm so impressed with the sound/imaging and resolution that comes out of this soundbar, so much so, I end up not watching TV and just listen to Apple music for hours. Listening to spatial audio tracks on this set up is mind blowing its like a 3D soundcoming from a concert hall. Micheal Jackson's thriller sounds like a movie coming from the HW-S800D. I can go on & on, but to sum it up! Worth every penny! Great, fun listening experience ! O and the bass thumps also!
