I bought my last Backyard Discovery gazebo a couple of years ago. We loved it so much that we just purchased another one for my deck. It has been a game changer… So beautiful, no longer have to worry about changing those annoying tarps. It is beautiful to look at, and it is the perfect size for my deck. We had it put together, from the beginning when they contacted me, to setting up the appointment, to the team arriving to put it together… Best experience ever!! cannot be happier with our Backyard Discovery gazebos!!

A great replacement for our old pergola. Now we can enjoy our deck even in the rain. Two of us unpacked the kit and didn’t notice one piece missing. Kudos to customer service who shipped the piece in two days! Took two of us about 18 hours to assemble, with a little help from a third. Now if it stands up to upstate NY snow it’ll be a total winner.

This is a great looking gazebo and I was surprised that no pieces or hardware was missing. Assembly was straightforward for the most part but you will likely need 3 people or two very strong people. I managed to do all, except the roof by myself but the roof was tricky! That’s where you will need 3 people - one to attach it, two to lift each piece. Most of the pieces were straight and lined up. A couple were bent but they still worked and it looks great after I finished. I got the gutter kits as well. If you do so too, don’t put the roof edge since you will need to remove it before installing the gutters.

I bought the Carport/Gazebo to park my new full sized pickup truck under out of the weather. This past summer was over 100 degrees, this winter started out cold and heavy rain and windy, the carport is holding up well. I’m unable to build the carport by myself, I had a contractor who had built my deck a few years ago do the job, ( So glad I did ) He and his guy leveled out where the footing go, made the framing, poured the concrete. Then they started the construction process, it took about 5 days. I’m very happy with the outcome.

I had the open area where we wanted to build some type of pergola solution. I really didn’t want something that would be attached to the house since our home is historic 140 year old farm house. So found this 16x12 pergola, I didn’t want to spend a bunch of money hiring a crew so I built it myself using a material lift. Instructions were easy to follow and I felt like the structure was well thought out, it’s elegant enough where it doesn’t feel like a do it your self Pergola. I’m considering buying smaller version for an outdoor grilling kitchen. I highly recommend this product it shipped quick and easy.

I purchased this for our vacation lot in Wyoming, what I really liked is the craftsman ship of the material and they rate their gazebo to specification that exceed Wyoming winter weather. Instructions are easy to follow, written very well and the mobile app helps with any questions on on assembly by giving you a 3D visual.

I just finished construction of my Norwood 12x16. We picked the BD Norwood based on the reviews and its certified ratings for wind and snow loads. Overall, the DIY build process was great. A lot of engineering went into the design and fabrication of this product. Everything was packaged and properly identified. Nothing was damaged in shipment. The instructions were very clear but did not show how to do certain steps. A Youtube video would be helpful. I (68) did 90% of the work by myself, working 3-4 hours per day over 7 days. The hardest part was lifting and positioning the roof panels onto the structure. My wife (65) and I did this ourselves using multiple straps and step ladders to install each panel. Having additional helpers would have made the process much easier! Squaring up the structure is critical to success. At the end, we had only two bolt holes (rafter clips) that did not line up perfectly. Structurally, this gazebo is a beast and I have no doubts about its integrity. However, the appearance is probably its best feature. The gazebo is beautiful! This is a relatively easy DIY project and I would highly recommend BD as a source for any outdoor structure. Now to add the decking!

This kit is amazingly beautiful. Its bold timber construction is a statement of elegance in a carport that makes other solutions look like lawn trash. Forget the Aluminum carport with no character. It is easy to assemble with excellent step by step instructions that is fun and fulfilling to assemble. My TWO now sit in front of my colonial style house and I get compliments all the time on it. Yes I liked the first one so much I bought a second. The first was for my wife's car, the second for my prized 20 year old truck, still in great shape. Yes I do have a 2 car garage, where I park my Motorcycle and Sidecar Hack. I am a man who has his priorities in order. I'm sure the guys will understand....

I bought the 12 x 24 Norwood Gazebo a few months ago. We just got it assembled and erected. I couldn’t be happier with this gazebo. The quality and craftsmanship are superb. The written directions are a little confusing at times but the video directions on the BILT app are spot on. This is such a great addition to our outdoor space and we have 3 large picnic tables under it. It took 3 people 3 days to fully assemble and erect. We did have extra help installing the roof panels.

The installation is a task!. But don’t be scared. Have a few friends ready to help. Especially when you get ready to lift the roof panels. Pay attention to the instructions and the positions of the wood/ bolts. Overall, fairly simple to install with common knowledge of building things. Beautiful outcome.
