Yesterday 3/21/24 I had my 7.5w generator installed at my townhouse in Overland Park Kansas. I decided to get the generator in January after I lost power for the 2nd time in 6 months. I think it’s one of the best decisions I ever made for my home. Even though it is the smallest generator wattage it will work great for my townhome . It covers everything except my AC and stove and that’s fine with me since I live alone and don’t need much to survive if my power goes out. I know most people who have gotten a generator have gotten the higher wattages and that’s great if you feel that is what you need, however, I was originally told the 7.5w would not support much but it did! I’m glad I believed in myself and choose the 7.5w generator Also wanted to give a shout out to the people at Generators for Sale in Kansas City Mo. who put in the generator and how awesome they were. They were on time and were professional and just great men. When they were done with installation and we ran the test to make sure generator would come on can you believe it, it did not. However, they found the issue (I think it was a wire in one of the new circuits not connected) and got it working again. Can’t thank them enough for everything they did. They also went over how the generator worked and answered all my final questions I had. Very happy with the whole experience because honestly I was nervous about doing it. Now I’m glad I did and would recommend anyone thinking about getting a generator to do it

Arrived undamaged and with all items that were to be included. Propane conversion and hook-up went smoothly as did electrical hook-up and testing. Much better than my housed portable unit with 6 circuit manual transfer switch. No more snow and rain to deal with to get unit online. Wife is VERY happy.

Have had it for4 months now hooked to my 5th wheel trailer and runs everything real good with no problems the only thing I don’t like about it that it has a shut off switch on the outside of the panel so it’s real easy to accidentally turn it off from auto position without knowing it so I duct taped the switch to on position other then that it’s a great little generator

This is my third Generac Generator. The sound insulating panels of previous generations have disappeared. This unit is much noisier than anticipated. I still love the peace of mind Generac provides. This unit and the provided transfer switch lacked one very important part. Which added a whole day driving to purchase Two little 1/8” female spade crimp connectors that are needed to complete the installation. Very disappointing the .40 cent part was not with the transfer switch. Also this unit is not installer friendly. Access to the battery terrible. Screws and fasteners are mixed making it necessary to have everything from 10mm sockets to crimp connectors and a crimping tool. Wires 92 & 123 All the other terminals were very easy push type. Maybe this particular unit went out the door without the customary quality control. Either way it the installation process could have been easier. Plus this unit takes a garden tractor battery again just a bad idea. I used the typical small car battery and had to purchase terminal adaptors. Do you want to depend on a tiny little battery To start your generator? I don’t plenty of room for the car battery. Again I love the Generac Products too bad the engineers are not focused on the ease of installation

A great value for the money! After outages it gives me peace of mind that I won't be without power for an extended period of tome. Other than a couple glitches, the installation went well. The fuses for the transfer switch were missing. If not provided there should a place in the directions indicating what to buy! After contacting your company, I received fuses from Generac at no charge!

Easy installation . Good instructions. Seemed a little pricy for the cold weather kit. Needed for any location that falls below 32. Seems like that should be almost standard or a factory option. The only negative is no wifi. When I called support about wifi I was informed the 7 kw no longer has it. Read the description carefully. They claim many of the same features as the guardian series. And the guardian says wifi is standard. Seem like sneaky marketing . But over all happy.

Great price for what we needed with 8 circuits 60 amps of power and a auto transfer switch it's hard to beat . were able to keep food cold the house warm during winter ,lighting , tv, internet , micro wave oven , coffee maker, sump pump (rain storms) Runs as it should very easy to hook up good instruction easy to follow. We had only used it once for 3 hours of a power outage it's nice not to worry about not having power . Also the weekly test run works as it should we are very pleased with this product quality and craftsman ship a well built product 5 stars for sure .

I bought the 7.5 power pack up graded from a 5500 portable gen, This awesome little 7.5 unit powers my whole house TV, lights, ceiling fans, fridge and a portable A/C unit during the summer if needed at 25amps of course i don't run everything at one time. its already paying for itself lost power do to strong winds it ran 5 hrs. and i didn't have to get out of my seat. I use 2 100lb propane tanks
