Good value

Easy installation . Good instructions. Seemed a little pricy for the cold weather kit. Needed for any location that falls below 32. Seems like that should be almost standard or a factory option. The only negative is no wifi. When I called support about wifi I was informed the 7 kw no longer has it. Read the description carefully. They claim many of the same features as the guardian series. And the guardian says wifi is standard. Seem like sneaky marketing . But over all happy.

A big bang for my buck

I bought the 7.5 power pack up graded from a 5500 portable gen, This awesome little 7.5 unit powers my whole house TV, lights, ceiling fans, fridge and a portable A/C unit during the summer if needed at 25amps of course i don't run everything at one time. its already paying for itself lost power do to strong winds it ran 5 hrs. and i didn't have to get out of my seat. I use 2 100lb propane tanks

Waiting for a longer power outage

Backup generator has been installed for about 6 months so far. I like the security of having power available when it's needed. My wife thinks it just a white pimple in the yard. So far we've only had a 5 minute outage. Generator worked great! Not long enough to change my wife's mind yet!

I run my furnace, A/c, Water pump, Fridge, hotwater heater and a couple of outlets for the tv and internet. Thank you Generac

Basic Emergency Backup Power

After researching standby generators I purchased the Generac PowerPact. The generator was installed by a professional electrician and propane company. The total cost of the project was $7000 which included installation, permits, setting 325 gal. tank and propane. The price of the generator, compact design and service availability is what attracted me to make the purchase as an investment. I am disappointed in the 2 year warranty since other competitors offer up to 4-10 years. The bottom line is only time will tell if the generator performance and durability are as advertised.

Let me down

Bought this generator because i am disabled and need to have electric full time. The first time the power went off it started and produced power. It was only a few minutes. Last night the power went off and it was 6 degrees. It started up, but no power. Generac was no help.

Lack of Support from Generac (New Purchase)

Just received our new 7.5 Kwat unit, for home standby use, Natural gas-powered unit. I went on-line and registered the new unit immediately. Hired an electrician with experience in installation of home standby generators. Hired authorized and experienced individual to make the natural gas piping. After everything was connected, the new unit failed to start! The electrician tripled checked all connections! All connections to natural gap triple checked! Still will not start!! Called GENERAC for assistance, with no support available! Was referred to local Electrical Company as their authorized reps. Factory authorized Local rep quoted $125 /hour rate to come out to trouble shoot a brand-new unit!! Can't get support from GENERAC, for a brand-new unit!! So discussed, with this company!! Based on our experience, what good is a 10-year warranty, when GENERAC will NOT support a brand-new unit!

Nice unit and runs very smooth

Got it hooked up today, runs great and is quiet, looking forward to having it when the power goes out. I wish I had bought a bigger unit, learn from my mistake and do you homework... how much to you need? Do your need a whole house unit? Can you get by with only 8 circuits? I wish I had purchased this a long time ago. If you're in the market for a generator I recommend a Generac.

Very Good for the Price

If you do not need a lot of bells and whistles, there are a lot of advantages for buying the smallest back up 7.5Kw system. 1. Cost less 2. Smaller engine uses less gas to run. 3. Takes up less space. 4. Cost less to install. 4. Not complicated to install. The only thing missing is it not having wifi accessory kit to upgrade in the future.

Product works as advertised!

A great value for the money! After outages it gives me peace of mind that I won't be without power for an extended period of tome. Other than a couple glitches, the installation went well. The fuses for the transfer switch were missing. If not provided there should a place in the directions indicating what to buy! After contacting your company, I received fuses from Generac at no charge!
