Nice shed

Purchased this on-line earlier this month and it arrived stacked on an extra long pallet, wrapped and with no damage. Was shocked to see the lable indicated shed color as "light brown". I panicked because I thought I ordered the gray one with black roof (as shown on line). The color is taupe with a dark gray roof, doors and shutters. From a distance it appears to be a light gray with a dark gray roof, doors and shutter. It took three guys a full day to put it up using the on-line installation video along with the manual. Please note we had a 16' x 9' cement pad poured to help with stability since it was resin. Overall I would say we are very pleased with the purchase. Only downside for us is that I see they are offering a $400.00 discount now right after we purchased it. So if you are on the fence, jump on it now especially with the current discount!!!

Lifetime 8x15 Shed Review:

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] **Easy Assembly (5/5):** Putting together the Lifetime 8x15 shed was a project, but worth it. I had it up and running in about 7 hours. The instructions even had plans to build a wooden platform, which helped me create a perfectly flat and level space to build the shed on. **Impressive Features (5/5):** This shed is more than just a place to store stuff – it's my ultimate garden hangout. Inside, there's plenty of space for all my gear, with two shelves across the 8' side, two corner shelves, and twelve hooks keeping things organized. I can easily maneuver my large tiller in and out through either set of the double doors without any hassle. The skylights let in tons of natural light. **Looks Good (5/5):** Forget those boring old sheds – mine is a sleek addition to my backyard. With gray walls, charcoal doors, and a matching roof, it's got a cozy modern vibe that fits right in. **Built to Last (5/5):** This shed is tough with the steel frame and heavy-duty materials including UV protection, it'll keep looking good for years to come. The high-pitched roof keeps the rain and snow off the shed. **Personal Touch (5/5):** Let's not forget the cozy corner I've set up with my favorite outdoor couch. It's the perfect spot to kick back with a cold drink and a good book after a long day in the garden. **Overall Impression (5/5):** The Lifetime 8x15 shed is the real deal. It's stylish, sturdy, and perfect for anyone looking to take their backyard to the next level. This shed offers plenty of space for everything I was looking for.

Perfect Solution for my Storage Needs! Excellent New Home for my Kayaks and Dirt Bike. Love the Look of the Shed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For storage in my backyard, I have been using a small shed the previous owner left behind. The old shed was yellowed from the sun and was falling apart. What I needed was a shed that could fit more than just a lawn mower and a few gas cans. My new Lifetime shed has solved my storage problem and has quadrupled the amount of outdoor storage space I have available. This has allowed me to shift my kayaks and my dirt bike out of my overcrowded garage and into my new shed. One of my favorite features of the shed is how it looks in my yard. The unique design of the shed fits perfectly with my yard. I like the little details like the windows and the extra doors since they are practical but also break the boring mold of a typical backyard shed. Plus, the darker exterior color of my shed is a welcome departure from the yellowing shed I got rid of. I received the shed on a Wednesday afternoon and despite having to wait out a couple wind and rainstorms I had it put together by Saturday. I spent about 15-20 hours putting the shed together mostly by myself. I did recruit my wife and son to assist with the roof install which is much easier with more helpers. The install wasn't easy but it was manageable. I did find it odd that most plastic pieces had labels with their part numbers but a lot of the metal roof supports didn't have any labels. This slowed me down a little bit since I took longer making sure I had the correct pieces I needed for a certain step. One of my favorite features of the finished shed is the amount of natural light inside the shed. You can easily see what you are doing inside the shed thanks to the windows plus a skylight that runs the length of the shed. You won't be fumbling around in the dark due to the amount of natural light inside. In addition, I found it helpful that the two shelves and the 12 hooks that come with the shed can be installed in a couple different variations allowing me to personalize the shed. The dual entry feature of this shed is indeed a game changer. It simplifies getting stuff in and out of the shed. For example, I rolled my dirt bike in one set of doors and simply rolled it out the other set of doors instead of walking it out backwards. The two sets of doors also make cleaning the shed a breeze. During the install the floor got fairly muddy so to clean up I simply opened both doors and pressure washed the floor in no time. Finally, I have been impressed by how well the roof keeps water out of the shed. In its short life, my shed has already weathered several rainstorms and a hailstorm and despite this everything inside has stayed nice and dry. I am looking forward to many more years of the same.

Holds up to weather!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 15x8 shed is about perfect for the space I have. I didn't realize until I had it together how much more I enjoyed having 2 entrances. It's got enough room for a couple kids sized atv's, our bicycles, lawnmower, ladders, fire pit, and garden tools. Some building advice; when you get your delivery of the 3 boxes stacked together, take the top one's lid off and grab the instructions right away and sit down and read them through. Plan to take 15-25 hours for reading, sorting, and assembly with at least 2 people for some parts of the walls and all of the roof parts. Having a level pad is a must as you need the screw holes to always line up to ensure a water tight fit and uniform fit for all pieces. The directions are very detailed and it's wise to follow them exactly; only a few things seemed off and that was a corner piece, one of the half walls, and missing screw holes on the floors. Do not over tighten any of the screws on any piece or you will strip the screw or plastic! Predrilling was only required on the doors and a couple other pieces; if you're wondering there isn't really any extra hardware for mistakes. The tools you will need include a 3/8 socket, 7/16 socket, number 2 & 3 magnetic philips head bit, a right angle philips head, a rubber mallet, adjustable torque drill, manual screwdriver for final tightening, and a ladder or tall step stool. Do yourself a favor and if you order a particular model download the online manual and study it; it will make it a breeze putting it together when you're familiar with the parts beforehand. Presorting the parts can make putting it up a lot quicker, but the pieces and the boxes they come in are mostly organized and marked already. The doors and upper wall fascia with vents are assembled separately, the metal trusses are another step. When it comes time to start building you'll lay the floor together, start sliding in walls and corners, placing trusses and doors, upper fascia walls, roof panels, and finally the sunlight roof pieces. Shelves and hook parts will be the final step to your preference. All in all I'm very happy with it for the intended purpose of keeping outdoor equipment out of the elements. Without being anchored to the concrete it has already been through a few Oklahoma rain and wind storms with no damage or leaks.

outdoor shed

Mostly good, but floor is not as substantial as previous sheds. Lifetime needs to employ lego employees to write their instructions, as they are confusing & incomplete

Great shed - awful directions

The directions were very confusing. Assembly would be cut in half if parts and assembly would have been more clear

Don't buy

I got this shed a few year's ago and thought it would help with extra storage stress. And save us some money so we wouldn't need to get a monthly storage. I WAS WRONG. I was excited. We even had new cement put in just for that. It ended up being a Disaster. * 1st. They said it would be better to have their person put it together.($500 extra). He broke some of our bricks that we were going to use for a cinder block wall & put them under the corners to level.(Which I didn't notice till a week later.) * 2nd The BOLTS started FALLING OUT from the top. I don't think they fit properly. It's uneven so it's hard to open & close. (Totally crooked) * 3rd It Started LEAKING and I had to put a tarp over it to make sure nothing got wet.(which looks awful.) Now there is water coming in when it rains from the bottom somewhere. It's NOT WORTH the HASSLE & EXTRA MONEY.

Instructions are lacking

None of the metal parts are labeled. Instructions are a bit vague and just wrong in a couple places. Metal support pieces for the walls couldn’t be put in correctly according to the instructions. They would only fit “upside down”. Clearer instructions and all parts labeled would have sped up the assembly a bunch.

Stay away!!

I purchased this same shed about 8 years ago, it started falling apart after about 1.5 years. Screws pop out, the doors don't close straight. I contacted lifetime and they wanted me to change panels. I never did anything because its a huge pain to put together, didn't want to un-do it. In my opinion, it's a huge piece of junk..... I'll never purchase another Lifetime shed nor recommend it.
