Tuesday, June 11, 2024 Our LG 1.8 Cu. Ft. Over the Range Microwave was ordered online May 26. The receiving company says the unit arrived at their warehouse Monday, June 10. Sams says the unit arrived May 30. Obliviously, there is a communication problem between shipping and receiving which is negatively impacting Sams/LG customers. Our microwave was supposed to be delivered and installed by Friday, June 7, no one called to tell us the order would be delayed. Danielle, representative for the delivery company says they only deliver to our area on Mondays and Wednesday. Danielle has scheduled our delivery for Monday, June 17, and someone will call to confirm our delivery on Friday, June 14. We asked about picking the unit up at the warehouse, Danielle says that's not possible. We purchased LG because we have owned LG in the past and like the appliances. Sams has always been a great place to do business. But, we are disappointed in customer service at this point.
STOPPED HEATING
Stopped working after very little use. Microwave still cycles like normal but doesnt heat the food inside.

Do not buy if you need quick
I would like to review the microwave, but I have still not received it. I purchased on 01/21 and almost three weeks later, I do not have the microwave. I have took time out of my work schedule to "chat" with Sams as to why I have not received. I have stayed home between the four-hour "timeframe" twice when I was told it would be delivered. Still, no over-the-range microwave and I'm told by Sams that it is basically no longer in their hands. In the meantime, my contractor is waiting for this last appliance to finish our renovation.

Microwave isn't great, Sam's pricing is awesome.
Microwave itself is okay, but not great. It's a lot slower than my previous over the range microwave, the fan is just as bad as they all are, it's designed a little different, the fan exit is a little forward, so it cannot be ducted into my ceiling vent without major cabinet work so now I have to leave the door open, open my cabinets and put a towel over the area when boiling water, as well as run the feeble fan. AND - it collects fingerprints and holds onto them for dear life. I've had a little success trying glasses cleaning cloths, I keep looking for a simple solution, because if I keep cleaning and buffing every day I'm afraid I'll end up with missing numbers/letters. In other words it's just okay, especially for the price at Sams. Everyone else wanted 30 to deliver, 130 to install and 40 to haul away, so buying from Sam's was instantly $200 less. And this was the only one Sam's carried that wasn't too tall for my area (they are making them bigger now for some reason). Sam's earns an A+, LG more like a C-.

Service isn't worth the product
Haven't had this microwave/range 6 months and it doesn't work. Getting on the schedule of the repair people is a NIGHTMARE. They claim to be in their slow season and I should be back up and running but I have been without for a month now. RIDICULOUS! Save your Benjamin's and buy something else!

Love the Black Stainless Steel color
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure how the LG microwave would look with my other brand appliances (stove and refrigerator), but it looks really nice. We have the "black stainless steel" color, which had to be ordered separately, but well worth the wait. The microwave works great. I especially like the one-touch start for a minute or 2 or 3. So easy! I also love the 30 seconds button. Overall, we are very happy with our LG microwave oven!
Good features, poor tech service.
Initially I loved this microwave, but after 2 weeks, the interior light stopped working. I contacted support, and a few weeks later a tech came out and said he needed to order a part. He never came back. The interior light is an LED on a card, so nothing I can fix myself.

Great, except for its sounds
It's well built, cooks more or less as expected, fan works properly. The light underneath could be a bit brighter, thuogh I'm guessing I could replace it with a brighter bulb. But the thing that really bugs me is the beep/tone. I had read that a user could turn the sound on and off via the mobile app... which is true as far as it goes. I guess I had imagined that as long as they were going that far that perhaps they would provide a full feature by allowing users to CHANGE the tone, or set it to NOT REPEAT itself every 30 seconds on cook, but to repeat for the timer. Those are the types of things they could have so easily done yet frustrate me almost every time I use the microwave.

Terrible
Per LG's guidelines I'm not allowed to comment on customer service but just be aware the bottom of the microwave gets extremely hot, over 200 degrees F, when the light is used greater than 10 mins, because LG decided to use a halogen bulb and they refuse to rectify the issue.

Cheap parts
I've had this microwave for all of a year and a half. Maybe a month less. The magnetron already went out and it no longer heats. Manufactured in June 2023 and didn't even make it 2 years. Bought in September of 2023. I won't by LG appliances ever again.
