In addition to the high fructose corn syrup issue, I encountered a taste problem. (I omit the use of butter to allow the full flavor of the spread to be tasted.) However, in the case of your strawberry jam, it is sweet but does not taste like strawberry. In fact, if you closed your eyes, you would have no idea of the intended flavor. Sad but true.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My jar had busted in transit but I went and got one from the store and it was everything I thought it would be. Tasted fresh and only like real strawberries and not all the added nonsense some put in their preserves. A wonderful sweet jam to add to our morning toast as a family. Love it. Thank ya'll.

I JUST LOVE THIS JAM ... seriously .. like when I was a kid, my dad always had this jam on the table and dang it was good. One thing I have noticed is that the jam has lost it's original flavor in the past few years. I rate 10/10 ! Keep up the good work !

As others have said, this is no longer Jam and is just Jelly now. I bought a couple of jars not long ago after not having any for a year or more. I was disappointed enough to search out the Smucker's Jam is forever changed. I don't really want to go to preserves, but I will now be searching/trying for a new Jam that is really Jam and not a Jelly Spread.

Love your Strawberry Jam but we stopped using it a few years ago because of the High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). I looked at a jar today, hoping you stopped using it, but was surprised to see you still do. 🥲Sure wish you'd get rid of it so we can use your jam again. Having trouble submitting my review because it's requiring a photo. I don't have one to offer.

I always loved Smucker's Jams and Preserves. Until now. The Strawberry jam didn't look the same. It is now an odd bright pink gel thickened juice. There was one small strawberry in the entire 32 oz jar. I did not buy it again. It was awful. Where, oh where have my little strawberries gone? Oh where, oh where can they be? With this jam cut short of berries, And the thick gel to fill out the bottle Oh where, oh where can they be? Sadly after a lifelong love of Smucker's I have found a new love. Farewell to thee. Oh where, oh where can they be?

I have enjoyed Smucker's Strawberry Jam for many years! Growing up, Mom made sure we had jelly, homemade until we ran out and then it was Smucker's! We also got government cheese and since I was often hungry after school, a cheese along with toast and Smucker's was the best thing to hold me over!!

I've always bought Smuckers strawberry preserves but the last 3 jars I had to toss because it had a metallic taste. I tried several times to eat it but the metallic taste was too prominent. I don't know if you've found a way to make it cheaper or what the problem is but it's ruining your preserves. I've recently tried some cheaper versions and of course they had the metallic taste also. So I can only assume you're making it cheaper but selling it for more. Disappointing... Strawberry preserves are the only type of preserves or jelly I like but I can't get past the taste of metal.

So disappointed I can't really eat what was a fairly healthy reakfast treat anymore. We don't want "lite" "spreads". We know the sugar has to be in jam, just give us *real* sugar, so we can have that good ol' fashioned Smuckers real jam experience, without the added health risk. Show us it's important to you. Make it real again. I miss my classic pbj's... :(

I cannot believe this company produces a product that not only has high fructose corn syrup but also corn syrup as the second and third ingrdients! These are NOT healthy for our bodies and it's why companies who care label certain products that indicate these ingredients are not in their products. There is no need for jams to include high fructose corn syrup or corn syrup. Fruit is plenty sweet without the need for these added unhealthy ingredients!!
