Hard and thick

I got these buns in order to compliment my Sam's Club Cafe 1/4lb hot dogs, attempting to replicate the goodness of the Cafe product. Obviously, the cafe isn't using this Ball Park product. The first obvious failure in this product when you take it out of the package, is the terrible cut on the bun. When looking at the product in the package, you imagine a sturdy foundation for the hearty sausage, but that is not what this is. The bottom of the bun is cut to a mere 3/8" in order to completely destroy the functionality of the sausage conveyance. The hinge is thin, and the bottom separates from the thick, bready top before the first presentation. The fold in the load is at the bottom of the bun, and the totally screwed up cut of the bun causes the thin bottom to split lengthwise along the bun, further destroying the entire assembly. i got my buns 12 days before the marked expiration date, and the product smelled moldy. The texture of the buns was slightly dry and crumbly like old bread. This product is the perfect case study of every way to screw up a hot dog bun. To be honest, I really didn't even like the way the buns looked in the package to begin with, but I thought I was buying a quality trusted brand. Nothing could be farther from the truth. I will be returning this swill along with the Member's Mark Mango Salsa that I sorrowfully bought on the same visit.

Big enough for a brat and sturdy. Slightly sweet and although pre-split, they required two hands to open up and spread apart. Challenging to do when you’re serving a buffet.

I like this product very much, another easy meal for the kids. I usually make two family meals out of one bag because the bread doesn’t go bad as quickly as other bread products.

I don’t know if it was just an old pack or what but every single one broke apart when trying to put in the sausage. I’ve bought these before at the grocery store and didn’t have this issue.

Perfect pairing with the sams 1/4 lb hotdogs we served. They were the perfect size for the big dogs and the flavor was a delightful balance to the frank. Highly recommend. Excellent product.

I've never had better hot dog buns. Meant for 1/4lb dogs. Perhaps even brats! Fresh, good taste, and don't split into two pieces easily. Best used with Member's Mark Beef Franks.
