We purchased this popcorn machine for a high school concession stand. It is perfect for our gym concessions where space is an issue. We purchased this same model 10 years ago, it is still producing! It fills about 4 2.8oz boxes of popcorn per batch. Boxes are 5 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 8 1/2". We pre-fill the boxes. If you have a high volume stand, you will need to purchase a larger machine.

We have owned this machine for 3 years and have popped a bunch of popcorn with it. It still performs the same when it was new. We originally bought it for home use and went with the 6 cup version because we have occasional parties. I have two relatives who are elementary teachers and they have had fund raisers for class projects. We pop corn for these events, serving 200 to 300 people at each event, so the popper had a steady cooking process. I never planned on using it that much. This has been a great amusement & conversation piece. We buy the bulk popcorn & oil for major events, but for just home entertainment we use Orville's prepackaged 6-cup popcorn (oil, corn, & salt already in package). The corn is always fresh that way. NOTE: We could really tell the difference in poppers when we popped corn at school and another teacher was using the Nostalgia 4 cup popper. The warmup time for cooking batches on the Nostalgia brand took so long, the other teacher gave up and helped us bag corn out of our popper. Although this may seem like a hefty price, after three years, it has paid for itself over & over. This is a QUALITY made product.

We shopped several places before settling on this machine from Sam's Club. The price was very reasonable compared to a retail store in our area and online stores. This was purchased as a gift, but we have had this model (also purchased at Sam's Club) for about 8 years now. The hinges on the plastic doors on our first machine broke after a year but Gold Medal sent us replacement hinges for free. They broke again about a year ago, and Gold Medal sent us some new improved metal hinges. I'm sure these will last longer. We've also repaired the kettle this year. The kettle top separated from the lower shell and oil and salt got inside. We use this machine several times a week so it get's plenty of use. We love it. If you are in the market for one, this model at Sam's Club is probably $100+ cheaper than you'll find it anywhere else. Also wanted to mention that they shipped it QUICK. I think I ordered it on a Thursday and it was delivered the following Tuesday. It couldn't be delivered to the store for some reason, which would have been great for us since I didn't quite know where to have it sent since I wanted someone to be there to receive it. Over all, it was a good purchasing experience.

A friend loaned us his "Gold Medal Popcorn Popper" a few months back for our annual Groundhog Day Celebration and movie matinee. Everyone raved about how good the popcorn is and how quick the popcorn maker popped enough for all twelve of us. Truly a professional popper and perfect for our movie nights. When Bob took the popper back home – we had to have one of our own and it truly is the best. The Gold Medal Popcorn Popper not only makes the best movie night popcorn quickly – it is made for easy maintenance and cleaning as everything comes out of the unit easily – from the kettle to the hopper - simply remove, clean and re-install – easy as 1 – 2 – 3. Currently I am using the unit as a counter-top model in the theater vestibule but now I am ordering the cart it sits on, keeping the candy counter clear for another display.

I have ordered these machines before with no issue. This time it came unassembled and the pieces that needed to be assembled had to be done by the factory. Called manufacturer and they apologized, and they are sending a replacement. No Sams fault, but buyer beware you may run into this issue.

Good quality and easy to use. Our Church youth & some of us grown-up kids were thrilled to enter the fellowship hall to the smell of movie theater popcorn.

Just what we needed for our church. We were replacing a smaller popcorn machine. This one is just right. We can now pop corn in half the time. I recommend for any project .

We purchased this popper after our old one finally died. We went back to the exact same popper we purchased over 10 years ago because it lasted so long and served us very well. We are trusting this new popper will last just as long.

We have only had this for a month so it is really difficult to give it a true review. That being said the price was great and it appears to be the quality of the one it replaced! If this changes I will update the review!!
