When I shop for large quantities I expect everything to last at least a week or so, but all the fruit that I buy from here for the past year is moldy within 3 days. I'm tired of wasting my money on fruit at Sam's. Something is being done to the fruit to make it look fresh when it's not. This needs to be looked into.

I'm really careful about buying fruit, I ALWAYS check to make sure that it is fresh. I check it in the store as best I can and I check it more thoroughly once I get it home. The last batch I bought was totally furry a day and a half after I got it home. Not just one or two, I mean the whole top layer. GROSS

The Driscoll I found to be the most flavorful, but you do have to inspect to make sure they are not moldy or showing signs they are going to go bad soon. I use the fresh lock containers and they stay good until gone and I have them every morning with breakfast.

I bought this item this week at the State College Pa location. I discovered on opening the package that approximately half the berries were either growing mold or weeping because they were overripe. Quality of fruit offered in this Sam’s location has gone done significantly.

Lesson learned: I will not let anyone else pick my strawberries. I added them to my list to pick up. They were dark red and turning bad. The whole batch didn't last but for a couple of days. I could have returned them but I live all the way in Hampton and it was a hassle to go 20 minutes back. So if you want the right strawberries, pick them in person. They always have good batches in the store but the person who picked mine out didn't give much thought for picking out a good batch.

I don't know how many times I have bought these like other produce. Mold all the time. I went in the store and talked to their "manager or front end whatever" and they are "aware and can't do anything about their shipments". So why sell food with mold? Check your produce!

Can't remember where these berries came from and perhaps it's the "season", but they certainly were not as good or tasty as I am accustom to. There was a somewhat "musty" taste to them even tho nothing was showing such as mold, etc............. Hopefully the next shipment will be better!!!!
