They’re good

Need to use them within a few days. I’m guessing Sam’s doesn’t use as many preservatives as other stores do. It seems like their produce doesn’t stay fresh near as long. But they taste really good.

Sweet and juicy

Strawberries were sweet and not overly ripe, in store. However, I have learned not to order produce for delivery because it usually arrives over ripe.

Disappointed

The strawberries looked really good, but in less than two days they were all covered in mold and mushy. That was the first time this has happened. I’m not sure how old they were before I purchased them, but I think that had something to do with it.

Expect 1/2 of the package

Great price, strawberries spoiled quickly. They last about 4 days. Basically I got half of the berries for that price d/t spoilage. Still a decent value for Hawaii.

Mold and bad strawberries

usually we love buying strawberries at Sam's but this last time while picking out the strawberries at the store I found a ton of packages with mold. I told the worker in the cooler and he said okay. I went back three days later to get a few things we forgot and those same strawberries with mold were still for sale. I won't be purchasing any more strawberries from Sam's. Absolutely ridiculous to allow this product to be sold with mold on it.

Apr. 17 bad batch

Last 2 packages I got were amazing. Bought 2 containers Apr. 17 and they looked ripe but were not moldy or mushy. The strawberries all taste like nail polish remover. It's either a bad batch or they've gotten too ripe and managed to ferment without breaking down.

Terrible taste like water bought end of March

Very disappointed! Sam's always has best strawberries and I was so excited when I seen how low the price was now that spring is here! I bought 4 boxes!! They taste like water - absolutely tasteless - very disappointed! I've never ate one in my life that is red and ripe and tasteless!!

Some Good, Some Gross!

I expect high-quality and these are NOT! Some very small ones some white instead of ripe fruit and then I cut into some that were rotten brown look like they had worms in them or something. I have no idea and if someone can tell me what that nasty crap is in the very center. I have no idea but it looks disgusting. It looks like white mold growing on something. I have no idea it's about to gag me.

carcinogenic strawberries warning

Pesticide Residues: An investigation by the consumer watchdog group Mamavation found 12 different pesticides in conventional Driscoll's strawberries. "Forever Chemicals" (PFAS): Eight of the detected pesticides are linked to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), which are persistent "forever chemicals" that may pose long-term health risks. Regulatory Compliance: While residue levels were reportedly within U.S. federal tolerances set by the EPA, they exceeded limits established in several other countries, including the European Union, Taiwan, and Chile. Look it up. Near these farms, second-highest childhood cancer rate in California, sitting 38% above the state average. Do not buy.
