We bought a few of these 6 months ago and love it just dont like the fact that none of the stores carry anything more than the refills that come with both the Mosquito repellent mats and fuel cartridges. We go through so many more fuel cartridges and they are out of stock online.

I bought one Green repeller and we liked it so much we bought two more. The first one came with a cap and the next 2 didn't have the cap. I thought it could have ben a packing mistake. After calling customer service I was told they don't have caps anymore . Strange because the advertisement still says cap included. They have lost a formerly happy customer. Returning the the ones without caps.

I bought this product to use on my patio. I thought it looked nice, pleasing color and shape, unobtrusive, and not messy. After unpacking, I read through the instructions and thought, seems easy to use. Screwed in the fuel canister, turned it on, clicked 3 times and nothing. I tried again, nothing. Turned it off, waited a bit then tried again. Clicked what seemed like forever and finally I saw a glow in the sight glass. After about 3 minutes I noticed there was no glow. Started over trying to get it to light. It finally did and we used it for 30 min or so. It did keep Mosquitos away for that time. When we were done, I shut it off but didn't remove the fuel canister. A couple day later, I tried to light it again and couldn't get it to work. I checked and the fuel was empty. I am very disappointed in this product and would not recommend it. My advice, get something that is rechargeable/battery operated.

The Patio Shield works really well once you figure it out. If you've had a Thermacell before, it's pretty much the same, and uses the same consumables, although the instructions could be a bit more detailed on some things like using the lid for the base, or the holding slots for extra mats inside the body by the butane tank. There's no mention of either of those in the instructions. Functionally, the Patio Shield is easy to use - screw in the tank and twist the body to ignite. Simples. It seems to work fine sitting on just the bottom of the body without the cap under it. With or without the cap, it isn't great on uneven ground, but is fine on finished surfaces (floors, railings, etc). My first Thermacell was one of the portable units, and I like this one just as much if not more.

We just moved to Florida and are waiting to have the back patio and pool screened in to keep the mosquitos away. We thought that we couldn't enjoy the patio / pool until then. The Patio Shield made the difference and allowed us to enjoy our patio / pool right away. We just set up the Patio Shield on our patio table near the pool, take a dip in the pool and when we get out don't have to worry about being bugged by those nasty flying blood suckers. We're so happy we got the patio shield - it works great, easy to use and re-use, lights the first time every time and there is just a faint smell - enough to let you know it's working.

After 27 years, I can finally enjoy my flower-filled front porch without covering yself with all that yucky, spray-on stuff! This works great and I also bought the MR-450 portable unit to use while working around the entire yard, but mostly in the back, where there seems to be a mosquito hatchery!! Highly recommend and the light scent not only is more than bearable, but gives an unobtrusive reminder that it's hard at work!

We recently bought a thermacell and it does not work. Not glowing light....NOTHING! Tried buying a refill pack as maybe the Butane defective. Watched several you tube videos thinking maybe we weren’t doing something right. Followed every step on the instructions as well on you tube and still no glowing light.

This review will likely never be posted because I found therma cell useless I bought this 2 weeks ago and used it according to directions. After allowing it to warm up for 30 min I was quickly swarmed by mosquitos with them even landing on the unit. I do not recommend this product as it does not work as they promised .

I have used Thermacell products for YEARS and they keep getting better. It's seriously the only thing that works in the deep south during summer.Unless you want to spray down with chemicals and inhale all of that junk or smell the rest of the evening! GREAT products!

I live in Florida around tons of fresh water, meaning lots of mosquitoes! I used this patio shield on the outside table while we had an outside dinner and it worked well for the immediate area around the area. I did find the protection seemed to go up and not all around and had to place one on the ground to cover our legs. 15 ft of coverage seemed more like 10 but still worth it. Not having to use a smelly citronella was great. These did not put off an odor.
