My 5 year old wants multiple snow cones daily this is great

Used this unit for a couple weeks. It does shave ice and is easy to use.

1st time using it and I loved it. It was fast & quick to use love this product

I bought this shaved ice maker a while ago but am just now getting around to trying it. I put it together and plugged it in. It didn't work at all. I finally took it apart and instantly a piece fell out of the inside. That was the piece we had heard rattling around in there. Then we identified that the switch was not attached so when the plastic piece slides it over, it wouldn't press down the metal switch. The screw that holds that piece down only sticks out about 2 threads, tops. I screwed it on the best I could and closed the unit up. It does now work, but I am not confident at all that it will last any length of time. I have no idea if the broken piece was supposed to provide some function or if it was just trash sitting in there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted one of these, but never could convince myself I really needed one. After trying it out, I've decided it reaches full NEED level. First of all, it comes in a few pieces, but it's super easy to assemble. The light turquoise color is so retro and cute. It's also simple to operate. You just fill the top compartment with ice cubes and lock it in place, then run them through the machine for perfectly slushy shaved iced. You could buy pre-made syrups, but it also comes with a booklet explaining how to make your own. It really just takes sugar and whatever kind of fruit you enjoy. I actually like to mix in frozen fruit right with the ice and syrup. It's so delicious and refreshing. This is amazing if you have kids, or for parties. This is going to be my favorite new kitchen gadget for a long time to come!

You put the ice in the bowl and turn the lid and let it do its thing. The instructions are easy to follow about how to take it apart and clean it. Just watch out for the blade underneath the bowl as it is kind of exposed. So, I tried out both cubed ice and crushed ice. Both of them turned out fine but the crushed ice did give a bit fluffier, more snow cone like texture which is what I prefer. I'm definitely impressed with this machine. Highly recommend!
