[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this so I could make snow cones for my kids. It works perfected and is very easy to use. You put the ice in and turn it on. It shaves it perfectly for a great snow cone. You can take the lid off and put ice in as it's running. The blades are covered so you won't get your hands as you put the ice in. You put the ice in turn it on get your shave ice then put your syrup on the ice and enjoy. The head comes of so its very easy to take apart and clean. Perfected little snow cone machine.

My kids and I use this multiple times a week. It makes quite a bit if filled with ice and makes quick work of shaving it down. One of my favorite kitchen appliances!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always wanted one of these, but never could convince myself I really needed one. After trying it out, I've decided it reaches full NEED level. First of all, it comes in a few pieces, but it's super easy to assemble. The light turquoise color is so retro and cute. It's also simple to operate. You just fill the top compartment with ice cubes and lock it in place, then run them through the machine for perfectly slushy shaved iced. You could buy pre-made syrups, but it also comes with a booklet explaining how to make your own. It really just takes sugar and whatever kind of fruit you enjoy. I actually like to mix in frozen fruit right with the ice and syrup. It's so delicious and refreshing. This is amazing if you have kids, or for parties. This is going to be my favorite new kitchen gadget for a long time to come!

I bought this shaved ice maker a while ago but am just now getting around to trying it. I put it together and plugged it in. It didn't work at all. I finally took it apart and instantly a piece fell out of the inside. That was the piece we had heard rattling around in there. Then we identified that the switch was not attached so when the plastic piece slides it over, it wouldn't press down the metal switch. The screw that holds that piece down only sticks out about 2 threads, tops. I screwed it on the best I could and closed the unit up. It does now work, but I am not confident at all that it will last any length of time. I have no idea if the broken piece was supposed to provide some function or if it was just trash sitting in there.

The ice chops up really fine and is easy for my kids to use without my assistance! We love it so much we bought one for a friend for her birthday!
