Both wife and I have had multiple back surgeries and still suffer significantly with back pain. This mattress has made sleep for us a little easier. We both wish the queen size mattress and adjustable base were available in split configuration like king size are.

The moment you lay down on it, you're body just begins to relax. The tensions of the day melt away. It doesn't matter if you're more comfortable on your back or your side, this mattress just follows the contours of your body. It's by far the best mattress I've ever slept on and I would recommend it to anyone.

I absolutely love it. I've had insomnia for the past six months, only able to sleep 1 - 2 hours at a time. Then we got the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt Firm mattress and now I fall asleep and sleep until my alarm goes off the next morning! I definitely recommend this mattress to whoever has problems sleeping! It was worth every penny spend!!!

Absolutely NOT for senior citizens, extremely difficult to change the sheets since this mattress is very heavy (queen size). I regret immensely buying it but after spending over $3000 I am stuck for life. 1st time putting a sheet on by trying to lift one side, something snapped in my shoulder & I have not recovered yet from this injury. I wish I could return it & recoup some of my money but I know it's not possible so unfortunately for me, I'll have to straggle with it for the rest of my life (I'm in my late 70's). Sorry Tempur-Pedic, I DO NOT RECOMMEND your mattress, this model or any other Tempur-Pedic model as well especially for older adults. For many years I had Sleep Number bed in king size (2 X twin) but after my husband passing, I moved & downsized so I bought this queen size mattress. I wish I could go back to the Sleep Number mattress & get rid of the Tempur-Pedic one but I can't afford to do just that.

I had a Terpur mattress I bought in Hong Kong...it is the original product and not the USA licensed product. It started to delaminate after 5 years and since ai moved back to Hawaii, I could not make any adjustments with the original Tempur company. So far, this USA mattress gives me the comfort that I wanted and has decreased my back aches. I have a concern, though...will this mattress start to delaminate because I also have a Tempur-pedic adjustable bed frame and I like to raise the head and leg when I watch TV in bed. Other than that concern, I am happy with my purchase.

We are a long-term customer of tempur-pedic. We have slept on 2 mattresses over the course of 8 years. Both mattresses lost support and have begun to significantly sag within 2 years. We are not heavy by any means. My husband is 185 lbs. and I am 135 lbs. We use 2 waterproof mattress covers to ensure no sweat gets through, as my husband is a hot sleeper. We have BOTH developed nerve damage in our necks due to the sagging! We have been going to physical therapy and the chiropractor regularly to fix this for the last year and a half. Our arms go numb at night with excruciating tingling pain in the elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers. I have lost many nights of sleep trying to make this pain go away. My husband the same. After we went out of town and slept on a different bed, we knew the issue was with the mattress. Our first mattress we were able to return with warranty. The second however they won't allow it. The dip isn't large enough, which is completely inaccurate! Customer service is subpar. Quality is less than desirable for the cost of the mattress. I will NEVER purchase a tempur-pedic again. It seems their quality has diminished tremendously over the last 10 years. Don't waste your money.... You'll pay for it double time in health costs due to chronic pain and nerve damage.

As a kid, I always fantasized about getting a Tempur-pedic mattress, so once my husband started to complain about his back hurting on out 12 year old mattress, I knew what we needed to do. We went in for the hype of the purple mattress, but when that fell short in our support category, we started trying out the temper-pedic. The pro adapt firm, is FIRM, SO SUPPORTIVE. The first time I laid on it I laughed because it was so stinking hard, but after we crawled around "hands and knees" as directed by our salesman. I can say that this bed feels like it was MADE for me. It is so supportive but is forgiving in all the right spots!

Going to my bedroom to sleep had never been something I look forward to, and more often than not I would fall asleep on the couch instead. Since purchasing a TempurPedic, I don't dread the (now non-existent) struggle of tossing and turning to get to sleep. The quality of my sleep has improved ten-fold, and I wake up feeling well-rested and recharged. The mattress truly is a perfect embodiment of comfort and a gateway to relaxation. Worth every penny!

My husband got a medium & I got a soft-talk about perfection! I had a kneecap replacement during the year & I was able to raise my side for comfort without disturbing my husband. Would I buy it again due to the cost? In a heartbeat!!!

You don't have that get in, sink really deep into it thing that you do with some fully foam mattresses. The give is, instead, just enough to be really, really comfortable. And it's great for cuddling: your arm doesn't fall asleep. In contrast, I find that I'm definitely getting better sleep on this mattress, and, I don't wake up sore anymore. It's pretty fantastic. I've also found that, compared to my previous spring mattress, I don't feel as much when my partner moves or shifts in the night. I dare say this mattress is even more comfortable than a hammock, and that's saying something. One concern I had with a foam mattress was how warm it would be. Well, my fears turned out to be unjustified: even in an apartment with no air conditioning, in an unusually hot August, I had no trouble with overheating, and I definitely sleep on the warm side. I think this is due to the fact you don't end up sinking into, and being encapsulated in, the mattress. The only downsides I found with this mattress were minor. First, when it arrived, it definitely had a pretty strong plastic smell to it. Fortunately this dissipated after a few days. The other thing I discovered is that, if you don't have sheets that are big enough for the mattress depth, they really don't work! With my old mattress, slightly smaller sheets still gripped the side of the mattress fine. This one, though, has so much give in it that I kept waking up completely wrapped in the bottom sheet! This was rectified by purchasing some sheets that actually fit the 12 inch deep mattress--- but it's a good thing to know beforehand.
