This is our second Tempur-pedic mattress ,our first one we bought 16 years ago ,when they first came out & all it had was one thick piece of foam & as for me i didn't see anything wrong with it ,but my wife was having back problems ,so we bought the Pro-adapt firm & now she has no more back pain ,not everyone will like the firm mattress ,but we are very happy with it.We looked at other brands, but we kept coming back to the Tempur-pedic,it is higher than our old mattress ,but we are getting used to it.

I bought the Breeze hybrid first and HATED it - it was like sleeping on a rock and I woke up sore and cranky every morning. We used the comfort guarantee offered at the store to exchange the mattress for the ProAdapt Hybrid and I LOVE it! I don't want to get out of bed in the morning! Supportive but not hard, soft but not squishy. It cost us to make the exchange but I am so happy we decided to do it.

I had a first generation temper-pedic and thought it was time to get a new bed (was I ever wrong). It was quite costly when they first came out but I got one. Anyway I bought a Serta and it was way to soft for me, hurt my back. Sent it back and got a hybrid temper-pedic, and "it" is a little to soft for me, however it would be to costly to trade this one in and get a firmer tempur. So although it's an improvement to the serta, that isn't saying much.

This is the best mattress I have ever owned. I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore and I don't have a backache in the morning anymore. Only problem is the height of the frame. I have to have a small step stool next to the bed to get up on it. I wish the frame was a few inches lower.

We absolutely love this bed! Prior to this we had bought a "memory foam" bed on line that was suppose to be amazing (little to no reviews, no one heard of it) and what ended up happening is, it was not good enough! I would get out of bed and my whole body ached! I thought, "I guess this is what old feels like" (I'm 30 years old). My husband stands on his feet all day and would complain of back pain, again we assumed it was being over weight and getting old (he's 33). To our surprise the bed was firmer than the show model and took some getting used to, maybe 5 nights. I immediately noticed a difference when I woke up and stood up from the bed, no pain, and no aches! I feel completely young again! My husband hasn't had back pain since! He has more energy now and we could not be happier! We would recommend this type of bed for everyone! There is a reason why they are the best and we now know, we cant put a price a good sleep! Prior to purchasing our Tempurpedic, I had lower back pains from our cheap traditional spring mattress. With our new Tempurpedic ProAdapt Firm mattress, my back pain is completely gone now. I sleep so well and wake up re-energized. We also purchased the tempur brand sheets and they make a world of a difference! I love how the memory foam slowly conforms to your body and cradles you like a baby. The mattress is worth every penny spent and I will be buying only tempurpedic memory foam mattresses moving forward.

My wife has rheumatiod arthritis. She had been complaining lately that the airbed we'd owned for 19 years was not working for her anymore. We tried out the ProAdapt mattresses and she wanted the soft, while I opted for the medium on a split king with adustable bases. After only one night she said, "I wish we hadn't bought these matteresses." I looked at her with a frown. She continued, "I don't want to get out of bed now." I've had sinus problems all my life. I have found that by elevating the head just a few degrees my nose does not stop up during the night. I can now sleep uninterrupted the entire night.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, one week into the "soft" model mattress. First few days quite uncomfortable. Seemed to be as hard as a sidewalk. After reading suggestions online, we started walking around on it several times a day. Now it seems a "little" better. Time will tell. Sales people should tell you it will take quite a while to get comfortable to sleep on. Maybe as long as a month or two we are now told. Soft is not "soft" as we have found out. Be careful as most display models in stores are months old with scores of people trying out. The one you buy will be very different for quite a while

The mattress is very firm and has not been anything like the comfortable mattress we tried in the store. 3 weeks in. Being that the mattress is not as comfortable as the ones I tried I feel the value is not that great. Tempur-Pedic is a high priced mattress, which I expected to be comfortable from the start. Not sure I want to keep it beyond the trial period. At this point it's NOT a recommendation to buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I honestly can't say enough good things about our ProAdapt Firm mattress. My husband and I waited ten years to purchase a good mattress (we were so confused by the number of choices and the prices). We went to a local furniture/appliance store in Greenville, SC and the sales person was so knowledgeable that we knew instantly what would work. Although it is firm, there are times when we are deep in sleep and don't want to leave the bed at our alarm. There are mornings when I have the feeling that I've been in the most amazing cocoon, and the best part is my back doesn't hurt in the morning either (unlike our old mattress). Thank you Temperpedic for making this mattress. Even our parents visiting during Thanksgiving asked us what in the world they were sleeping on the next morning--they'd never had such comfortable sleep. I bragged about this bed to them and hope they'll get one too.
