Initially, we thought the bed wasn't going to be comfortable--it's so different from a normal mattress. It can feel board-stiff when you first plop down on it, but that is easy to adapt to because once you're settled in for sleep, it's seriously the most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on. Those little annoyances in a regular mattress (like feeling like you're rolling into the middle when sleeping with your spouse, or the whole dang thing jiggles when she gets up at night) are 100% gone. If you can afford it, I highly, highly recommend. The one thing I don't like about it is that it can trap some serious heat. I sleep very hot, and even with the thermostat set to 64 F, I still sometimes wake up sweating. I should have bought the cooling mattress but it's more expensive.

Purchased our Pro Adapt Firm to replace a Tempur-Pedic purchased in 2004 ...I had spinal fusion surgery then and bought it on my Doctors recommendation...my wife recently had a similar back surgery and we decided to retire our old mattress and get a new upgrade with an Ease Base...we continue to be happy and comfortable...especially our backs...Count us VERY SATISFIED Customers...

in my simple opinion, the bed is fine I don't know if the bed I chose is very hard but since I bought the bed I haven't been able to sleep a whole night what I sleep is like four or five hours as I said before maybe I chose the very firm bed I thought that by buying this bed I would rest more but it is not like that always when I get up in the morning I get up with back pain I will try to see if I can exchange and then update this review

Overall this is a comfortable mattress, but it doesn't support my back like other firm mattresses. I invested in it as an answer to my back pain and I am terribly disappointed. This is not a true firm mattress. The support/resistance varies on different points of the surface, and it is effected by the room temperature. It gets softer in warmer temperatures and vise versa. A normal firm mattress alleviated my back pain, the Pro-Adapt firm does not. Tempur-Pedic ought to disclose this fact on their website, or avoid from classifying this mattress as "firm".

From the very first night I had it I could tell it was going to be wonderful. I've tried other competitors mattresses and was just not satisfied. It adapts to my body and I fall asleep right away. I've had lower back issues and this mattress relieves my back pain. Best mattress I've ever had. I truly recommend it! ❤

There are less expensive mattresses out there but if you want the ultimate in comfort and quality, Tempur-Pedic is absolutely the 'Gold Standard'. We simply couldn't be happier with our TEMPUR-ProAdapt Soft mattress and as someone with a very bad back, I can attest to its support qualities.

It stays cool for about 15 minutes. I love the comfort, but the mattress tends to get to warm. We bought this bed because some of the medications I'm on for my cancer cause night sweats and I thought it would stay cool most of the night. My best night of sleep so far was about 5 hours. Most nights it's 3 hours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the adapt medium which was too soft for me and slept hot so I upgraded to pro adapt firm, it's A lot cooler and the sheets don't sink in and move around.. I noticed the beds do off-gas and need to air out for a few days. Final conclusion- the bed is outstanding it contours to your body the way it should and yes you can still sleep on your side. I normally do not do reviews but this weekend, we visited the Frontenac store in Ladue,MO. Corinne- our sales associate was awesome. From the time we arrived and explained we were trying to learn about their beds, their bases, she took it from there. Had great questions from both of us, wanted to understand our sleep regiment and from there began demo process on various mattresses and bases. Great experience. We have never owned a mattress like this before and can't wait to experience it. Corrinne made this a great experience and it was a true pleasure working with her. We left there Saturday, talked about it and returned Sunday. Had a few more questions, tested bed again and guess what- made the purchase.Thank you for everything you did for us as I would highly recomend her to anybody in the St.Louis area that is ready to make a change in their mattress but maybe their sleep style to receive the best night ever.
