Bought a new Cal King frame and a competitor's product, literally the most highly praised mattress on a half dozen reviews. I admit I was coming from a $16K Queen-sized mattress, so a $3K Cal King would not likely be competitive, but I was shocked at the result - almost immediate backaches from the beginning. After a month of agony, I returned it and went straight to the TempurPedic store in Jacksonville. Awesome staff and help. Struggled with two different ones and on a second visit, finally selected a bit firmer, more akin to the original Queen matress, rather than the new Cal King. Lo and behold, glorious nights' sleep. Tremendously comfortable right from the beginning. Waking up refreshed is worth any price, but this Luxe Adapt-Firm was truly price competitive. Love it!!

I chose the firm and love it. The was initially worried that I should have got the soft but after a few nights I was sure I made the right choice. It definitely helped my back and neck pain. This mattress is not cheap but I'm happy with it and hope it lasts a long time!

Bought the top of the line Adapt mattress and it has literally destroyed my back. I am now sleeping on my downstairs sofa (and getting a pain free night's sleep) since the horrible customer service has refused to fix the problem. Don't waste your money!

I guess I did not realize how much I needed a new mattress, and most of all: I never dreamed I would buy a foam matress. This mattress is so comfortable, and I was told it may take a while to break it in. There was no breaking in ever with the Tempur-pedic Luxadapt SOFT. My insomnia went away and I now sleep later. It was expensive, but worth the investment. The only con is that you do not want to sleep right on the edge, as your body sinks down on the foam and you could slide out of bed. Just move over some. No big deal. Also, the ease makes a big difference too. If I lift my legs up a small amount, it gently pushes my lower back into the mattress, and that gives me great back relief while sleeping and when I wake up.

For years I have been testing tempurpedic mattresses in stores. I always thought to myself, "gee I don't want to spend that much on a mattress". Then my typical back aches that I usually get through having a larger chest and years of dancing got worse! I found myself going to the massage therapist more frequently. My family member suggested a purple mattress as being one of the best on the market in terms of comfort and price. I had the Purple for 1 night and I woke up with a back so achy that I could barely walk. I was told by the customer service rep. that I needed to "break in the mattress". It was the softest brand they had. I decided to return purple. I went to the mattress store and tried out the tempur-lux adapt soft and I wanted to fall asleep on the spot! I also tried the tempur cloud pillow which angle my head perfectly! I have had memory foam pillow in the past and I have always woke up with major neck pain! This was not the case with the tempur cloud pillow! I slept like a baby and bounced up out of bed ready to start the day! I was told that when I received the tempurluxe adapt mattress soft that it wouldn't be as form fitting as the one in the showroom was. This was an accurate statement. When I received the mattress it was firmer, but throughout the month I have had it it has loosened up. The break-in for the tempurluxeadapt was nothing like the Purple. I did not have any back issue with the tempurluxeadapt. It did it's job. I am so far extremely pleased with the product. My only concern is, will it last 10 years or more given the fact that I live in a very humid part of the country and my place does not have much insulation ? If this does not affect the mattress and if I get over 10 years out of the mattress before it begins to sink then I will be extremely pleased! So far I would say this is a great product and if you have back issues and you are on the fence about this item just purchase it! I even nick named the mattress fluffy! ;)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know where to start exactly because there are so many great things about this product that I could go on for days.. But it is absolutely hands down the MOST COMFORTABLE mattress I've ever slept on in my life! Even without the extra features that could be enjoyed IF I had the Tempurpedic PowerBase for the mattress to be put down into. This is an item which can be purchased (separately) for the mattress to be put into since it hat could possibly I have had this mattress about 3 weeks now, I fell in love the first night & it still keeps getting more and more comfortable!!! I believe that's due to the special type of memory foam that is used in tempurpedic products because it is not just regular memory foam, it is much better! This mattress will conform to your body in the most perfect way and it literally feels like it hugs every part of me which I love! As a side sleeper with scoliosis curvatures in my middle of my back and also where my spine meets my neck. This mattress has already made a huge difference as far as helping my chronic pain that I deal with from the scoliosis. I love that this mattress helps to keep cool at night also, which I think would do even better with that if I wasn't addicted to my flannel sheets lol. Another thing I love about this mattress is that it is not your traditional white or off white colored mattress. My kids especially, and myself can be quite messy, so dark colors are always better for us! I love everything about this mattress I truly do. The comfort level if rated 1 - 10 would definitely surpass 10 by thousands There are only two negative things I can say about this mattress, which both things are not even aspects that would even be an issue with some or most people in the first place. The first would be that it has a very high price point. The next is that it can not be used with a regular box spring due to the heavy weight of the mattress which again, this is probably not an issue for some if not most people.

We have owned this bed since May 2023. It has a long break-in period. The mattress is still stiff and does not contour to the positions the Tempurpedic adjustable base is placed. Due to my wife's light weight it stays stiff instead of bending. We live in Hawaii so cold temperatures are not relevant.

My husband and I continually woke up with headaches and backaches with our last pillowtop mattress that was only a few years old. We had NO IDEA that it was from our mattress until we had our first night's sleep on our new TEMPUR-LuxeAdapt! We don't get much sleep due to our schedules but we get great quality sleep in the hours we do get now. We wake up headache and backache free, feeling refreshed instead of groggy. We will not go back to a regular mattress after this one!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a very particular (and by that I mean odd) person in that I wanted a mattress that was firm enough so that it felt like I was on top of it, not in it, and at the same time I wanted it to be comfortable. I didn't expect this mattress to fit the bill so perfectly. I'm guessing because of the whatever-its-called technology of the top layer, it contours around your body creating this nice cushion effect. But I still feel like I'm on top of the bed, not sinking in, and it's very comfortable sleeping on my back. I actually woke up once sleeping on my side, and I didn't have the pain in my arm and shoulder that I had with my previous mattress. But I'd still suggest with going with the soft version of this mattress if you're a side sleeper because it still wasn't super comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this mattress for back or stomach (though you really shouldn't do this) sleepers... assuming you have cash to burn. Or a good night's rest, and the highest possible quality mattress, is just worth the cost.
