The mattress was okay but very foamy, such that if you roll around during the night, you will be working with the initial impression that your body left. Also, I have a bad lower back and found it didn't provide enough support (I'm 5'4", 113lbs). I did get the ergo base and love that. The only way to improve that would be to have a timer set so that after falling asleep it would revert to the regular position.

I am not one to post reviews but I also believe to give credit where credit is due. I didn't know what to think about spending this kind of money on a mattress but I can tell you I will never own a different brand. It literally is the best sleep and has helped my sever back pain. I give it 7 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are so lucky to own two of these. We own a queen size and king size Tempur-Pro Adapt. We also own the pillows. They are all Firm. My husband suffers with a bad back. This is the only mattress he can get a good nights sleep on. Myself, I really enjoy the pillows too. I had neck pain and when we started sleeping on the Tempur pillows that seemed to really eliminate the pain.I would love to be able to put one of these in our guest room. We have a lot of company and I am sure they would enjoy sleeping on a Tempur mattres and possibly go home and purchase one.

However, after recently being in an auto accident, I was miserable at night. I would toss and turn and was in extreme pain. I decided it was time for the Tempu-Pedic, regardless of the cost. It has been the best decision I have made and regret not doing it sooner. I sleep incredibly better and it helps greatly reduce my pain. I absolutely love my new bed. Only downside: I never want to get out of it.

I've had my Pro-Adapt Soft mattress for nearly 6 weeks, and I'm still just sleeping on top of it. It's not conforming to my body at all. I tried walking on it daily to break it in more quickly, but that didn't seem to make a difference. My shoulders get sore when I sleep on my sides, and my back hurts in the morning. I would definitely say it's not worth the cost.

It has helped us recover from any issues we had experienced previously. It is incredibly supportive. We went out of town last weekend and could not wait to get home to our matress. We purchased a King Tempur-ProAdapt in firm. After seven months, we wish we could undo this purchase. Our previous two mattresses were both firm, traditional independent coil. This would be our first memory foam mattress. Neither my wife nor I sleep consistently well on the Tempur-Pedic. This mattress chases you off it - I literally find myself getting out of bed in the morning because I can no longer stand the discomfort my body is feeling, specifically, pain through my pelvis and hip region as well as sore shoulders and numb arms. The hip and pelvis pain is with me continually and the sad part is I have learned to live with it. Recently, a second seven day vacation away from our Tempur-Pedic, I realized my hip/pelvis and shoulders stop hurting within a day or two. I spoke with Tempur-Pedic, but their response was to keep the room cool and to consider purchasing their mattress topper which would *maybe* help soften things up. I never stated this mattress is too firm, there is more to it than that. This mattress brought pain my mid-40's body has never felt. Read reviews and if you're having problems early on, react immediately, we're stuck with this thing now and we'll have to absorb a second mattress purchase in under a year. They claim their customer service is so great, why not try to help someone and send them a mattress topper after they just spent thousands on your product and are now afraid to use it.

I've have semi-quality mattresses all my life. This one kills them all. I bought a FIRM because is stops me from the tossing and turning. I also have Sleep Apnea. 1 Month into this mattress and I'm hooked. I have nights I don't recall tossing or turning. My body is well rested and I'm adjusting to the firmness of my mattress. I also purchased 2 Cloud Firm Pillows and 2 Neck Pillows. All well worth the investment of many years of restful sleep.

I had a 22 year old Tempur pedic mattress and for about a year I was waking up with a back ache. It goes away after I start moving around. I thought I should get a new mattress. It is a very hard decision to make when you pick out a mattress. I'm still not convinced that I have made the right choice and I still don't know if I should return it. I still wake up with pain, but it's not as bad. I have no pain while I sleep and no pain during the day after the pain goes away in the morning.
