Got snookered....bacon was in same place, offered same pcs(72) fully cooked...i picked it up, got it home and then realized.....this aint HORMEL! Wont make that mistake again.

This product does contain nitrates but that does not scare me. The bacon slices layer are separated by a sheet of wax paper which means the bacon will not stick together. This is a a fast and easy way to have bacon for all types of reasons - having with your morning eggs, adding to tossed salad, chopping and mixing into chicken salad or egg salad. Quick to cook bacon to add to sandwiches. This bacon is precooked so you can eat straight from the package or you can cook in microwave to cook it to your desired crispiness.

I now live 100 miles from Sam's Club, had to stay in town a couple of days, so ordered for delivery to my hotel. I was not happy that as a Plus member, I only received a discount on delivery fee as opposed to free delivery. Otherwise I like the bacon, the price was okay and I ordered it Tues and got it on Wed AM. Also since this product is not perishable until after it is opened (ie Refrigerate After Opening is printed on package) I don't understand why I can't have it shipped to my home.

Sam's was out of our usual bacon we always bought so we thought we would give Smithfield a try. We were so surprised. We liked Smithfield better than our regular bacon and it was a bit cheaper price wise. We highly recommend you try it. I think you will be as surprised as we were for the price and the great taste.

Frying bacon can be challenging. All you have to do is wrap this bacon in a paper towel, and put it in the microwave. The time you set is determined for how many pieces and how crisp that you want it, but a whole microwave tray full of crispy will take just a minute. The secret to crisp though is blotting it with a paper towel when it comes out. You like it limp with 2 strips, 10 seconds.
