The clock I hung weighed less than 7.5 lbs, so only two pairs were required. The pairs securely click together to hold the clock to the wall. I was able to hang my clock without putting a hole in the wall, and when I want to move it, I can remove the sticky side of the strips without damaging the wall or the back of the clock.
