It is too squishy and is far from firm. It is also extremely hot to sleep on. It cannot be flipped, however we do, because the side without the foam is more comfortable and less hot. In short, you'd be better off financially and loads more comfortable buying a futon and sleeping on that. This mattress has changed my life by causing me to wake up every morning with a backache. I haven't had a good night's sleep since we purchased it. I am tired, achy and grumpy. There is absolutely nothing to love about this mattress. Don't be a fool! Save your hard earned money and spend it elsewhere!!!

I was having aches and pains every morning when I got up. 2 nights on this mattress is all it took! I now get up in the morning with my feet on the floor running. Good bye achy hips and back! I love the support. It's just what I needed! This is the best purchase I have made in years!

From day one we had the comfort and support that we have always looked for and not found till now. Bed is soft but has all the support for back or side sleeper. There is no sag in any area of the mattress. It does not sleep hot which is a relief. I sleep hot as many mattresses do. For people with back issues this bed is worth a try.

Before receiving this product, I had a memory foam mattress. This Ultra Firm mattress was just what I needed. This is a pretty fantastic mattress, it offers lots of support, you can tell it's very high quality. The mattress I was sleeping on before was only two years old and never offered this type of support, this mattress literally hugs your body and doesn't put extra pressure on your joints. Me and my Beau, both have been sleeping on this mattress and have been sleeping much better and more soundly, my Beau has said his back and legs hurt less since we started using this mattress, it's also much quicker to get comfortable which has resulted in less tossing and turning. I would absolutely buy this product and recommend it to anyone looking for a new mattress, that is not only comfortable but provides support, it's worth every penny. The mattress itself is very luxurious looking, it has a nice blue and a beautiful pattern on the pillow top, you can see how high quality the stitching is and the soft handles make it very easy to move, it is a bit heavy-duty but I think that adds to the fact it's made to last. I have chronic pain. My new bed has helped greatly. I can more easily get comfortable when trying to fall asleep. Before I got this bed, morning was especially painful because my muscles were always stiff and it took some time to work out the tightness. Now this is less of an issue. I am very happy with my purchase.

I purchased this mattress from Mattress Firm. I explained to the salesperson I had chronic back pain and he showed me the Stearns and Foster. Of course, the mattress in the showroom was very comfortable, but when I got the mattress home, and layed on it, I knew something was wrong. I could feel the coils just from sitting in the bed. My back pain increased dramaticly from sleeping on the mattress. But, I realized the mattress I laid on in the showroom, the top of the mattress was dark blue (which was the Lux). After I realized what I received & what I layed on in the store was different, I immediately called the salesperson. I was told since I got the mattress on a deal they wouldn't take it back. I even went as far to as to speak with the manager...I was told he was the manager. I asked him if he could speak to his manager and explain what happened. I called back and was told that there was nothing they could do because I got the mattress on a deal. WOW...now I'm back again looking for a mattress that does not give me pain. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I hope someone from Stearns and Foster can make this right.
