Awful tasting!

Great Flavor

I spotted this item as a relatively new item at Sam's Club in Lenexa, KS. One bite of the smooth creamy texture and you too will love it. I guess I'm somewhat addicted. Raymundo's Flan is perfect for me as it is light and not heavy so I get my fix without the guilt. I enjoy it for breakfast and for a quick snack. Protein-rich and yummy.

I was looking forward to trying this flan. Have eaten many flans by many makers, including homemade. This is, hands down, the worst I have ever tasted. It is not creamy. The sugar has not been caramelized. There is no egg flavor. Just a grainy, insipid, overly-sweet disappointment. This should be a classic dessert made from milk, cream, eggs and sugar. So how is high-fructose corn syrup a "Latino ingredient?" Eggs are so far down on the ingredient list, that they had to add corn starch, carrageenan, and locust bean gum (right, traditional Latino ingredients) as thickeners. How this got any positive reviews is amazing. My abuela would be embarrassed to serve anything like this. This is definitely going back for a refund.

Tasted just ok - but the syrup or whatever it was - was like slimy egg whites - no thankyou!

The texture was off a bit.

Absolutely horrible! It tastes terrible. I won’t even give this crap away, straight to the trash!

The new recipe is like instant pudding not like the custard that we loved. wont buy it any more.

I LOVE this Flan...it's the best, had many others & none of them compared to this. It is so creamy & not too sweet. Yum! The only thing negative that I have to say about this product is: Sam's needs to get it in & keep it in-stock!!
