The set up wasn't too bad but with a little patience I was able to get through it because the instructions were general, but not specific enough particularly the control panel should have an explanation for each button. The quality of printing was excellent and fast. The document feeder worked, but I can't get it to print the document I inserted into the feeder. There was no specific instructions on the use and troubleshooting of the document feeder.

The printer is good for the price, does most things well. Only it can’t do double sided printing. This is a good basic printer, with rear paper feed that stands up and open for dust or other things to possibly fall in and gum up the printer head. No paper feed trays, all that said printer is again good for the price

Check the box before you leave the store / ours is used. We live about 30 miles from the store location and I was not driving all the way back there to return this. But it took hours to set it up because it had previously been used and hooked to another network. It is a sad reality to think you have to open boxes and inspect what is inside prior to leaving the store? Not happy

I purchased this printer to help me be more efficient in my office and was attracted by the low price. When I received it I disappointed to find how small the ink cartridges were, and that the color cartridge contains all three colors. It took a lot of work to get it connected to the wifi. When it was connected I found the printing and scanning to be very slow. Also, I discovered the document tray feeder was inoperative. I also have a HP6978 which is much faster and reliable, with individual color ink cartridges.

The printer was a great price and we got it set up easily. What we didn't understand until we were setting it up is that HP wants to put you on an ink subscription. They're going to charge you monthly based on the number of copies you estimate you'll use. Then, they monitor your page count and send you more ink when they think your printer is set to run out. There are a lot of wierd rules like, if you cancel your subscription, the ink cartridges currently in your machine will quit working. In the end, we decided we are away from home months at a time and we didn't want to pay for an ink subscription when there was no chance we were even printing anything. If you choose to buy your own ink, the ink included in the box when you buy the printer will TURN OFF at the end of your two month grace period! That's crazy. I'm sure there are households that will find this subscription very useful, but not us. We'll look for ink on sale, but if it becomes prohibitively expensive per page, we'll just say farewell to HP and look elsewhere. At least this printer was cheap enough we won't feel bad about it! Right now, our printed pages are everything we want in a printer.

Too complicated, after I paid the whole amount, you need to set up your billing address with a credit card to receive ink Supply Whenever you are running low on ink. This machine I don’t know how detected low ink even I never used it and they sent me more ink right away and I wasn’t even finishing seting up the machine. No thank you.

I purchased this printer on sale for $70, which initially felt like a great deal. However, it does require a monthly subscription of about $8 for paper and ink, which is something to keep in mind. One of the biggest drawbacks is the limited internal memory—it only reliably prints about five pages at a time. If you need to print longer documents, you have to break them into smaller sections, which is frustrating and time-consuming. Had I known this upfront, I probably wouldn't have purchased it, but unfortunately it's too late to return. That said, the print quality is good and it prints quickly. It's definitely an upgrade from our previous printer, but it still falls short of higher-end models. Overall, it's decent for light, everyday use, but not ideal if you frequently print larger documents.

I bought this printer and brought it home. I spent two days trying to get it connected to my phone and my laptop. I could never get it to work. I called HP technical support and they told me if I paid $100 for a service plan they would get it to work. They claimed the problem was with the software on my laptop. I returned this printer bought an Epson. In less than an hour it was set up and working. HP used to be the standard in printing not anymore. Complete junk.

Finally replaced my 12-year Desk-jet color printer that would no longer print despite routine maintenance. The features (scanning, copying, printing and ease of use) for a home office was worth the modest price. I seriously looked at other brands that get high ratings, but this transitioned seamlessly with my laptop. Bonus: the home network wireless features are smooth.

We've had the worst problems with this printer. We've always purchased HP printers. Never had a problem like we've had with this one!! We have followed all trouble shooting suggestions and NOTHING!! It will NOT connect to WiFi. Time to start shopping other brands
