Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Softener leaves my clothes feeling soft and smelling good days after being washed. Wearing clothes straight out of the dryer smelling clean and fresh! This is the only fabric softener I will ever use. Highly recommend to anyone looking to switch fabric softeners.

Every load resulted in fewer wrinkles and softer clothing that smelled wonderful. The scent lasts for some time as we are using towels right now that were washed 2 weeks ago using the Downy.

They didn't have Downy! I couldn't believe it. I will never do laundry without it again. It makes everything smell so fresh and soft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My laundry smelled really good while the washer was running, but I am not sure I am totally sold on the product. I wanted to try this product because at this time of year my clothes smell like sweat and deodorant by the end of the day and sometimes that smell is nearly impossible to totally remove so I was hoping this product could cover the smell. I was a little concerned that "April Fresh" would have some kind of pollen or something in it that would cause allergic reactions, but it seems the smell is created by more of a synthetic process. It smells incredible while the washer is running. The reason I am not sold on this product, however, is that my clothes came out of the wash feeling more worn out. I'm not sure if it is just the feel this product gives the clothes or if it really is hard on the clothing, but that makes me nervous. I'd rather keep using fabric deodorizer to fight the smells than have to buy new clothes more often. As time goes on I suppose I will find out whether this is really deteriorating the fabrics or if this is normal. I also noticed that the smell while the washer is running doesn't seem to really stick around very long once the clothes are removed from the wash, so I am not sure this will even perform that well. Overall, I do think this product was worth a try, but I am not sure whether it is something I will purchase again unless my concerns are assuaged by the time this bottle runs out. If you are washing kids clothes and would love a floral-y fresh smelling house on laundry day I think this is a wonderful product because the kids'll grow out of their clothes before they have a chance to wear them out anyway, but if you are washing adult clothes, I'd proceed with caution...but do keep it away from the kids. If it spills it is very sticky but until it dries, cleans up like spilled oil - you want to avoid spills if you can.

However, I felt the fragrance was overpowering and lingered longer than what I expected. I would recommend Downy, but hope they lessen the amount of fragrance.

It doesn't smell like Downy April Fresh!!! you ruined it. Why? I remember my grandmother using Downy in the 1970s and I bought this and it's entirely different.I finally have a top load washer so I thought I'd use liquid fabirc softener. Downy is expensive but I wanted that scent. Why did you change it?

My dearly departed father in law loved Downy it was the only fabric softener he would use. So when we use Downy April Fresh fabric softener it reminds of us of him. Never even noticed where to put it and was too embarassed to ask a froend. My mom never used softener so why should I need too! Came across some downy april fresh fabric conditioner and life has changed! I can not believe the softness of my towels and clothes and the faint hint of fragrance. I have always loved Downy and the way it makes our clothes smell. I received Downy® Fabric Softener for free, but all opinions are your own. I used Downy on my husbands dirty smelly work clothes, he works in a factory that has no air condition and he works with fiber glass. The smells on his clothes when he gets home is horrible, thats why I love Downy. Downy always get the bad smell out and makes his clothes soft again. There is nothing else I will use, Thank you for a wonderful product.

I never had used fabric softener, just a dryer sheet, and was very surprised what a difference it made. The clothes were dofter, and smelled very fresh. Since I just began using it a few weeks ago, I am not sure about the lack of color fade. But, fabric softener, you have gained a convert!
