I used to be a faithful Downy user. No more. First of all, if you shake it as the directions say, it pours out all over the place, not just from the spout. But the absolutely worst thing about it is that for some reason, it now leaves big blue spots all over my sheets and clothes. Sure they go away when I wash them again, but who wants that? I have tried many other fabric softeners and Downy is the only one that has ever left spots on my clothes. I've been using the "cheap" April fresh Downy since all the other products are ridiculously expensive in my opinion. I live alone so am only doing the wash for one person, but even so, I can find a lot better uses for the money I would spend on all the other Downy products.

I've been a faithful Downy user for more then 35 years and have always loved this product. Yesterday I opened a new bottle and was overwhelmed with the floral scent. I thought I had incorrectly purchased a scent other then original April Fresh Downy, but no I hadn't. Why has the scent changed? It still performs great on static, softness, and wrinkles, but the scent is so overbearing I'm unable to wear clothes that have been rinsed in it. Please bring back the tried and true original April Fresh scent we all have loved for years... From the reviews its very apparent I'm not the only one that feels this way. Let's hope P & G hears our pleas and brings back the scent we've all known and loved for decades. I'll keep checking reviews in the hope that the original scent returns, but until it does I won't be purchasing Downy again. So disappointed to say goodbye to a favorite product I've loved for years.

I received a free bottle of Downey April fresh for free to review and I am so happy I did because I now have a new favorite Downey product! The April fresh smell is delightful, my clothes and towels never smelled so good!! I will definitely being buying this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been a long time since I used a liquid fabric softener in the wash. Downey’s April Fresh Fabric Softener has made a believer out of me. First and foremost, the loads of clothes I did over the last few days have come out April fresh with no static cling. In our climate static cling is a major issue. There was none. The clothes looked great coming out of the dryer, and the sheets and towels have a lovely scent. Guess that I will be purchasing Downy April Fresh Softener one the bottle sent to me is empty. Thanks for allowing me to try this wonderful product.

The scent is really soft and not over powering, and it really did make my sheets and blankets softer and fluffier. I would use it again and again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a user of fabric softener because I never believed in the concept. However, once I tried my sample I will be using it more often. It makes my clothes smell very nice and for longer compared to just using detergent. For shirts I wear on a weekly basis, I did notice a difference in how they feel. They are literally so soft now. Not crunchy or stiff like they used to me. Because of Downy fabric softener it takes doing laundry to a whole different level and the results are satisfying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just got home from vacation last night, so I had lots of laundry to do today. Luckily, I had Ultra Downy April Fresh. First of all, it's concentrated, so the small bottle does 40 loads of wash. It was easy to use in a front loader and my clothes and bedding came out smelling clean and fresh, wrinkle free and soft. I've always been a fan of Downy products. It doesn't bother my sensitive skin like some other fabric softeners and the scent is nice, but not overpowering. I am happy with the results today, so I will definitely continue to use this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Downy April Fresh for a couple weeks now. I'm impressed. The clothes are super soft and the scent is amazing! When I first opened the box, containing the Downy, the scent wafted out before I even removed the bottle. With it being that strong, I expected my head to start pounding. However, it was such a pleasant scent, and though strong, not over powering. My daughter was helping me. Her first words were, "It smells like flowers!” I kind of agree, but yet it's more outdoorsy than flowery. My husband and sons have no issue having their clothes smelling of this Downy. They won't use anything that smells if flowers. A couple days ago my youngest daughter was standing next to me. I noticed how nice she smelled, but had forgotten about the Downy. I just had a baby 2 weeks ago and my older daughter have been helping with the laundry. I asked one of my older daughters what that scent was. She told me she was using the Downy. I am so impressed, I will be buying this again!

I'm not a fabric softener kind of person. If I use it, I use it primarily to add a pleasant fragrance to laundry. In this case, I was pleased with the scent that Downy left on the clothes. It also didn't leave awful residue that many leave in the washing machine, which is a plus!

I have ALWAYS been a big fan of Downy fabric softener... But for a few years there, I strides financially and cut it out of the budget and kind if just forgot about Downy. Until recently! I had received a free sample of your product in the mail from Influenster and I was (once again) hooked! My laundry smells wonderful, I don't ever feel like I don't smell fresh and clean. I LOVE DOWNY!!
