[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy has quite a few claims regarding the benefits: Softens, freshens, reduces wrinkles, reduces fuzz and pills, prevents static, keeps colors bright. On some it is hard to tell if makes a substantial difference but it seems to work. I washed a sweater recently that previously came back from the cleaners a touch faded and a little pilly. The next time I washed it myself and used Downy. It looked good after the wash. I was afraid it would further fade or pill more but it did not and if anything looked a little better. In general, the reduced static and fresh scent are very noticeable benefits. While hard to tell if there are less wrinkles, and reduced fuzz and pills, I am not noticing wrinkles and fuzz/pilling problems so it is difficult to argue that it does not work. For the more obvious benefits alone it is worth it. A little goes a long was as opposed to some of the cheaper fabric softeners out there and if you get some of the other benefits over time it is an added bonus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Ultra Downy April Fresh fabric softener is awesome! It left my laundry super soft. It has a strong scent, but it's not too overpowering. I could still smell it on my clothes days after I washed them which was nice.

I love Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner. I always use this fabric conditioner every time for laundry. I just need put 1/3 of cup for medium loads, 2/3 of cup for large loads, 1 full cup for full capacity loads. It brings lasting freshness for all my clothes. My clothes’s colors are protected. Beside, this fabric softens, fights stretch, reduces wrinkles, anti-static, anti-fuzz. All my family members like the fresh scent and feel comfortable when putting clothes on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Downy fabric softener for year, just not this scent. I have boys that play baseball and their uniforms can get dirty and stinky. I wash uniforms at least twice a week and the shirts always come out smelling clean and wrinkle free. My sons didn't seem to like the smell of this one; they said it smells too "girly". I think they are just thrown off since the lid is pink. I like the smell and it isn't too strong. I like the the closets still smell like clean clothes a few days after laundry day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this stuff!!! My hubby is a steel worker and his work clothes get down right GROSS! Sometimes they need washed twice...it's that bad! I decided to give Downy April Fresh Fabric Conditioner a try. WOW! I could smell the clean fresh scent as soon as I took them out of the wash! But the real test was seeing if the scent "survived" the dryer! Oh my goodness!! Amazing!!!! Not a single wrinkle and they smelled April Fresh! And so soft, which is a pretty difficult task on heavy duty work uniforms! Absolutely incredible!!

I've been a Downy user for 20 years and with my latest bottle of April Fresh with Fabric Protection I am very disappointed with the scent. It does not smell the same as it has for years. It has a strong perfumey smell that is not pleasant and unfortunately I will no longer be using it. Guess I have to find a new fabric softener.

I have always been a dryer sheet user. First time trying out the liquid stuff and I love it. Laundry is already a loathed chore, but the new liquid has brought back a new softness to my clothes, and especially my kids blankets which is always a bonus. Throwing it in at the same time as the detergent makes it one less step I need to think about between the other tasks of daily happenings. I've washed a handful of loads using the Downy April Fresh, and my items smell quite delightful. I washed my duvet cover using this product, and even my husband noticed the new scent. It's not overpowering, and doesn't bother my skin at all. I will continue to use non-scented products for certain loads, but will keep April Fresh on hand for clothes and linens.
