I've switched to another brand of liquid softener since the transition from the original Downy, through the scent bead migration, and now what can only be described as a joke product April Fresh with fabric protect. Oh and it's no longer fabric softener, it's fabric conditioner. What a waste of marketing. Let's make Downy great again America! Also either bad programming or skewing, i gave this product the one star it does not deserve and my android is turning it into four. liars.

It's been a long time since I have used a liquid fabric softener. I was really excited to try this one free for review. Honestly, the smell was a little overwhelming from the bottle, but on freshly washed and dried towels: heavenly. My husband was so excited to see Downy in our laundry room. It's nice to smell something so spring-like when you're in the midst of winter. Our towels are wonderfully soft too.

I received a sample of this free from influenster. I always use downy however I have never used this kind. Let me tell you its just as great as the kind I always use. Best thing to use on your clothes you wont regret it. Smells amazing and clothes feel amazing. If your looking for a brand to use downy is the way to go.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I knew that the real test for this product would be to see how it works on my gym clothes. I was not disappointed. I work out 4-5 days a week, and I rotate between two t-shirts and two pairs of pants. I have used these clothes for over a year and a half, and I began to notice that even after washing (and using a different fabric softener), that my clothes were starting to retain that sweaty, stinky smell. I was just about ready to trash them when I decided to try the Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer. The scent in the bottle is not overpowering, and I didn't need to use as much as I suspected. My stinky old gym clothes now smell fresh, and dare I say, NEW! I'm very pleased! The scent after washing is even lighter than in the bottle, and to me, it smells fresh. Another thing I noticed is that there seemed to be less lint in the lint trap, which is definitely a good thing. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that the fill lines inside the cap are a bit difficult to see.

I was given this product to try for free from influenster- with that being said I was pleasantly surprised just how effective Downy was with my clothes. They were softer, and smelled wonderful! So give your clothes a spa day they work hard to make you look your best help them look and feel theirs!

I never used the original Downy April Fresh fabric softener so I can't compare the newer version with that one. I like a lot of scent on my clothes and the newer version makes our laundry smell sooo good! My current laundry combo is Tide Original, Downy April Fresh and Bounce Outdoor Fresh dryer sheets. This laundry combo makes our laundry smell fresh and clean, soft and static free. If the newer version is too strong for you, I suggest cutting it 50/50 with an unscented fabric softener (it could even be a store brand version) or using less fabric softener per load. If you still don't like the newer version, you could try Snuggle Blue Sparkle.

I received this bottle of Ultra Downy April Fresh liquid fabric softener for free - to try out and share my personal opinion. The scent is aromatic but not overpowering. It freshens up my entire kitchen as well as the laundry. I experienced no skin irritation or other adverse effects. My clothes came out of the dryer freshly scented and soft. I just wanted to buy my face in them and forget about the folding. I am glad I had the chance to try April Fresh, and will be definitely buying a new bottle once I'm done with this.

My grandmother only used downy April fresh and every time I open the lid, I’m taken back to my grandmas laundry room! It always smelled April fresh. My clothes come out soft and smelling great and the sent lasts! I can pull a shirt out of my drawer 2 weeks after it’s been washed and it still smells great!

There are some detergents/softeners that will give me an allergic reaction. Downy April Fresh Liquid Conditioner is absolutely amazing. My clothes have never felt so soft and smelled so good before. A little of this will go a long way.
