[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ultra Downy smells amazing! Our clothes are super soft and wrinkle free too. Not usually a liquid softner fan because they seem to leave a build up, but have done some repeat washes with this one and no build up #ultradownyrocks

I used to really, really Iove your former product. Downy April Fresh. My Great Grandmother used Downy, My Grandmother used Downy, My mom used Downy and I used Downy. The scent was wonderful and left things smelling really fresh and clean. Sadly, it appears you've elminated the scent altogether. Every single bottle being made had this really, really strong new scent of Downy.... And it's radically different. Like a cheap perfume that's really really sweet. I went to four stores tonight and was able to locate seven bottles of the Old Downy with the old scent. But once they are gone... I'll probably stop using Downy altogether. I just don't understand why you guys would change the scent. This is Downy. It was amazing as it was, why did it need to change? I hope you guys will consider switching it back although I'm sure it won't happen. It's just disappointing. This was a wonderful product and it's now ruined.

A few years ago, Downy changed their beloved original April Fresh scent into some sickly, perfumy mess and I was devastated. However, they only changed the liquid, the dryer sheets still smelled like the original formula. I just got back from Dollar General and they now changed the scent of the dryer sheets too. WHY ON EARTH would they do this??? The original scent of April Fresh was loved by so many. Why wouldn't they just make a "new scent" and leave the beloved original scent available for purchase. Did a bunch of men in suits, who probably never did laundry themselves, make this decision?

I love the product and I’ve used it for years. My complain is that the caps are on too tightly. They’re obviously machine tightened and I have to hunt down a man in the store to loosen the cap for me before I check out. I can’t open them myself anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer is great. It really adds in helping to combat static electricity, especially this time of the year. The smell is a great kick start to the summer months and clothes smell fresh as they are hung out to dry or thrown into the dryer itself. This is a product that I would recommend to family and friends.

My only complaint is that the smell directly from the bottle is a little pungent and chemical heavy. I thought it was going to make my clothes smell bad based on the initial smell but in reality it is much softer and very pleasant. I would definitely recommend this product if you are a fan of soft towels and sheets.

Downy was the fabric softener I grew up knowing the name of. It’s all my mom used and the only brand I would use for many many years. It keeps clothes fresh and helps them keep their shape. I LOVE this stuff. The price is a little more than some other brands though. The higher price is the only down fall.

I used to love this product, however since they had changed the smell I will no longer buy it. Since they have changed the product to protect it sinks. I did one load of laundry and all the clothes smell so bad. I had to wash 4 more time with draft to get the smell out and it still has a slight sink. I am so bummed out used to love this product. Talked with my sister in another state and she is having the same issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My laundry smelled really good while the washer was running, but I am not sure I am totally sold on the product. I wanted to try this product because at this time of year my clothes smell like sweat and deodorant by the end of the day and sometimes that smell is nearly impossible to totally remove so I was hoping this product could cover the smell. I was a little concerned that "April Fresh" would have some kind of pollen or something in it that would cause allergic reactions, but it seems the smell is created by more of a synthetic process. It smells incredible while the washer is running. The reason I am not sold on this product, however, is that my clothes came out of the wash feeling more worn out. I'm not sure if it is just the feel this product gives the clothes or if it really is hard on the clothing, but that makes me nervous. I'd rather keep using fabric deodorizer to fight the smells than have to buy new clothes more often. As time goes on I suppose I will find out whether this is really deteriorating the fabrics or if this is normal. I also noticed that the smell while the washer is running doesn't seem to really stick around very long once the clothes are removed from the wash, so I am not sure this will even perform that well. Overall, I do think this product was worth a try, but I am not sure whether it is something I will purchase again unless my concerns are assuaged by the time this bottle runs out. If you are washing kids clothes and would love a floral-y fresh smelling house on laundry day I think this is a wonderful product because the kids'll grow out of their clothes before they have a chance to wear them out anyway, but if you are washing adult clothes, I'd proceed with caution...but do keep it away from the kids. If it spills it is very sticky but until it dries, cleans up like spilled oil - you want to avoid spills if you can.

It is really important for me to take care of my clothes and I am glad I found Downy because after using it my clothes experience less stretching, fading and fuzz pulling. Also I love the fact that Downy helps with the static cling and help me by cut down the iron time-consuming who has time to spend ironing? I love that Downy protect my clothes from losing their shape- yeah my favorite t-shirt looks like new! I like how fresh my clothes smell and the fragrance of Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner lasts for up to six weeks. I will continue using Downy and I all ready recommend to my family and friends.
