[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Downy fabric softener in 10 washer loads. My clothes came out of the dryer with fewer wrinkles and they felt softer than I expected. Clothes that I did not put in the dryer were a little less wrinkled than they normally would be, but they felt much softer than without the Downy. I am not a fan of many fragrances and I did not care for the April Fresh smell. I found a non-scented Downy that is every bit as wonderful so I'm set for all the extra washing that just comes with summer. It is important to read the directions and not use this product on the items listed on the bottle, such as microfiber cleaning cloths.

I love the smell, it's just right not too much and my clothes are soft and very comfortable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer is our "go to" fabric softener! We won't use any other brand! It smells like "Spring", and leaves our clothes softer than any other fabric softener we've used. Not only is this the best we've found, it's also one of the best priced products in our local stores. Our clothes don't fade with this product, and my sweaters don't get those annoying fuzzies....I wish I would have found it sooner! I highly recommend trying it out!

This fabric softener is okay but not one of my favorites. It leaves build-up in the machines after a while. I do not have this problem with the other brands I use. The scent also doesn't last very long. Overall, it's okay but after trying it many times over the past 20 years I've decided not to repurchase this brand.

I love cleaning but I've always been a subpar launderer. Everything goes in all at once on cold and I hope for the best. I was able to try this formula for free from influenster (these opinions are my own), and I'm a convert! I'd never used fabric conditioner before. I didn't realize it would prevent fading/shrinking/stretching. And being the type of laundry-doer I am, those are al really great things because they're phenomena I experience often. I love how my laundry smells and feels and my whole house smells incredible while the wash is going!

I prefer a different brand that smells better. I Also have not noticed a significant difference in the softness of my clothes. Either way, it’s a decent product just not something that stands above the rest in my opinion

Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Softener is by far my favorite. The smell itself is enough but it also leaves your clothes feeling fresh and soft.I recommend this to all my friends and family. I tested Downy Fabric Softener free but all opinions are my own.

I live downy April fresh, it reminds me of my childhood. This liquid fabric conditioner leave clothes soft, smelling great and without any static. I removed one star because my repairman told me liquid softener isn’t good for HE machines, it will cause build up in the tubes.

I've used April fresh for as long as I can remember. I'm in my 30s. My mom used the same scent as long as I can remember also. BUT something is different. I thought the packaging looked different but didn't think anything of it. Then when I opened it- whoa! The scent was overpowering. Washing a load of clothes with it fills my entire 2 story 2700 sq ft house with the smell. I'm not exaggerating. I don't even fill my downy or detergent to the first line of the cup. I never have (a professor filled us in on that once-washes the same and makes the bottle last longer) but the scent is ridiculously strong still. Not only is it strong but it's altered. Please. Please. Please change April fresh back to the clean classic smell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy has quite a few claims regarding the benefits: Softens, freshens, reduces wrinkles, reduces fuzz and pills, prevents static, keeps colors bright. On some it is hard to tell if makes a substantial difference but it seems to work. I washed a sweater recently that previously came back from the cleaners a touch faded and a little pilly. The next time I washed it myself and used Downy. It looked good after the wash. I was afraid it would further fade or pill more but it did not and if anything looked a little better. In general, the reduced static and fresh scent are very noticeable benefits. While hard to tell if there are less wrinkles, and reduced fuzz and pills, I am not noticing wrinkles and fuzz/pilling problems so it is difficult to argue that it does not work. For the more obvious benefits alone it is worth it. A little goes a long was as opposed to some of the cheaper fabric softeners out there and if you get some of the other benefits over time it is an added bonus.
