The smell is clean and lasts for weeks after washing. You don't have to use very much in order to see the benefits of using Downy over other brands. There is never any stiff fabric feeling and my dress shirts are less staticky than when using other fabric softener. I love how my clothes smell and feel fresh out of the dryer when I include Downy April Fresh in my washing routine

I have always been a dryer sheet user. First time trying out the liquid stuff and I love it. Laundry is already a loathed chore, but the new liquid has brought back a new softness to my clothes, and especially my kids blankets which is always a bonus. Throwing it in at the same time as the detergent makes it one less step I need to think about between the other tasks of daily happenings. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before buying this product, I would want to know a few things. How much does it cost? What are the size options available for purchase? I have very sensitive skin, so I'd like to know what ingredients are in the product. There are a few reasons why this item will be in my cart the next time I go shopping. One, it was easy to use. Who doesn't like a product that's so simple? All I had to do was fill the liquid to the line to match the amount of laundry load I had, and pour it in my washing machine. That was it! Two, it smelled great. My husband actually commented on how our clothes smelled and felt different. Three, that oh so soft feeling! Our laundry is so soft, which makes our comfy clothes even comfier!

I have used Downy before, but normally when I find it on sale, but I always prefer liquid fabric softener over softener sheets. Using the Downy again just reminded me of how great it is over other fabric softeners. I just love the scents available and the original scent also has a fresh clean scent that just leaves my clothing smelling great for days. The way I use my fabric softener is with a downy ball in my washer machine during the washing cycle. I have found that using the ball takes the guess work out of remembering to add later in the cycle. I found also that the scent of the Downy last longer on my clothing than other fabric softeners. Downy is not expensive, but I can buy other softeners cheaper, and even coupons for the Downy are normally $.50 and really do not help. That's my only real con to the Downy is the price. I tested the Downy softener for free, but all opinions are my own.

I love Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner. I always use this fabric conditioner every time for laundry. I just need put 1/3 of cup for medium loads, 2/3 of cup for large loads, 1 full cup for full capacity loads. It brings lasting freshness for all my clothes. My clothes’s colors are protected. Beside, this fabric softens, fights stretch, reduces wrinkles, anti-static, anti-fuzz. All my family members like the fresh scent and feel comfortable when putting clothes on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm REALLY liking my April Fresh Ultra Downy! I had used Downy products in the past. However, the measuring lines in the caps were NOT for he products - and we had to use trial and error - since then, they've added the NEW markings based on regular, NOT "ultra", measuring lines built in to the cap. What I AM liking about the new cap that I have is the fact that they've taken the guess work out and are including the ACTUAL measurement markings for the "he" compatible concentrated product - NICE! It has a very nice aroma. The product does seem to soften, however, it also depends on whether you do one or two rinses. I have found a couple of things that I do not care for - the fact that the fragrance does not last - only three or four days, tops. And, It would be nice if the makers of Downy would NOT use a coloring agent OR, at least make it less blue and more "opaque" - almost clear. The product really doesn't keep my clothing bright, doesn't have long lasting freshness, I still have static cling UNLESS I use a dryer sheet with it, NOR has it prevented pilling, etc. - Basically, it seems like the product does NOT do for my laundry what I have read that it is suppose to do. Yes, I DO use it from time to time - I grew up on it and it's hard to switch to something else when you've used a product for over 50 years. I DO like the fragrance and have been known to cut the bottles open - after use and dried - cutting the bottle up to use as scent providers for small areas - drawers, etc. Do I recommend this product? Yes, as a laundry additive and NOT based on all of the marketing hype. Just try it not thinking about the statements made for selling purposes and just try it and see if it's something that you'll want to use. The thing is, NO product can do what has been claimed - it's impossible - because of the rigors of daily usage of the garments AND all of the agitation of the washing machine AND water - especially, if you have city water or well water - treated or untreated. I do use it and probably will for a long time!

The smell was really strong when I first opened the bottle, so I assumed it would stay that strong. I was definitely wrong. It did smell good and the scent lasted all day. On top of the that the laundry I had put away still smelled fresh 2 weeks later. This is now my go to fabric softener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used a liquid fabric softener before so I really didn’t know what to expect but I honestly wasn’t expecting much. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! For starters, my clothes smelled so fresh and the fragrance was not overwhelming. My clothes actually felt softer as well, especially the towels. I also noticed that it did prevent static as well. I did not notice any difference in wrinkle reduction, pilling and fuzz, or color protection. I honestly wasn’t checking for those issues and it may just be too soon to tell. The only issue I had was that, with my washer, I had to use the Downy ball. The ball did not always drain properly but that was not an issue with the fabric softener itself.

I so love this fabric softener leaving clothes with good scent and freshness through out the week. I want the price to be a bit lesser, rest all are great . I use this mostly for clothes that I wear outside, once I iron and use it is incredible. When I don’t use perfume it is still fine as i use this liquid.
