[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think Downy is by far, the best fabric softener on the market. My laundry is comprised of work clothes, stinky sports uniforms, delicate items, and lots of towels and Downy leaves everything soft and smelling fresh (for those who have hockey enthusiasts in your house, you know a product is good if it can help get rid of the horrible hockey uniform smell). I love the fresh smell of Downy - it isn't too strong and it doesn't fight with a woman's perfume. In addition, the fresh smell remains even if an item sits in the closet unused for awhile. One of my teenage son's friends actually asked what we used to wash our clothes - just the fact that a teenage boy would ask is a product endorsement. As it relates to softness, Downy does an exceptional job. I have four children who think used towels should reside on the bathroom floor, so by the time the towels make it to the laundry room, they are mildewed or stiff as a board. Downy helps eliminate the smell of mildew and leaves the towels soft and fluffy. If only Downy could get my kids to hang their towels up . . . one can dream. One of my children suffers from eczema, so we have to be careful about detergents and softeners. Downy is the only softener we've used that doesn't cause our son to erupt in an eczema outbreak. In our home, Downy delivers, so it has become a staple in the laundry room!

Ultra Downy April Fresh fabric softener brings a softness to everyday rain and clouds. It puts a sunshine in your clothing that smells good and makes your heart smile. I would recommend this product for all fabric softening needs. I tested this product free of charge from Influenster.

Our clothes and linens smell so good and fresh! And soft, oh boy! The funniest part is that when our dogs lay on their blankets now, they also smell April fresh!! My whole house smells better! Great product & I will definitely buy this in the future!

I was sent this free sample and my opinions are my own this was the first time I've tried downy's fabric softener and wow the smell is so fresh and it's been a week since I washed my sheets and the smell is still there! I loved this I'll have to buy some more! I have now found my go to fabric softener

I'm very bad about running out of liquid fabric softener and taking forever to get some more. By then, I remember all the reasons why I love Downy's April Fresh softeners! My clothes are always super soft and smell sooooo good! Works great in my HE washer, too!

Downy has been my go to product. The smell, softness and control of static cling had been dependable. I recently been noticing static cling on my clothes that caused me to notice the fresh smell was not as pronounced (I could almost live with this). But having my clothes cling to me, no way. You Downy have thinned. Downy has tried to pull the rug over our eyes. I AM BUYING WATER? and in turn am flushing my $$ down the drain, because this product no longer works. Be the product we have trusted for decades. Your customers are smart and we have chosen to buy a quality product because we knew it worked, at times spending a little more then on a product that did not work as well. Now it doesn't, and you have tried to fool us the consumer. Shame on you! If you had improved your product you would have announced it in Bold letter on your packaging. When you thin your product do you announce NOT SO IMPROVED, WATER ADDED! NO. Bring the old Downy back. Keep your life long Downy user.

Normally I just use fabric sheets in the dryer, but I decided to give this a try. I must say I was pleasantly surprised! Not only did my clothes feel softer but they also had a lot less static than using fabric sheets. I really enjoyed the April Fresh scent as well. I did receive this product for free, but this review is my own opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer is great. It really adds in helping to combat static electricity, especially this time of the year. The smell is a great kick start to the summer months and clothes smell fresh as they are hung out to dry or thrown into the dryer itself. This is a product that I would recommend to family and friends.

I am devastated by the change in formulation of April Fresh Downey. Please bring back the original formulation! I have been using it loyally for over 20 years and my mother used it before me. No more Downey for this family until the original comes back. This new version is disgusting. It doesn't smell like the original. At first it was thick and clumped up my machine and now is very watery. The other day I spent 15 minutes at the store opening all the bottles looking for one containing the original formula. Not all changes are for the better. Where can I find some original?

I never used the original Downy April Fresh fabric softener so I can't compare the newer version with that one. I like a lot of scent on my clothes and the newer version makes our laundry smell sooo good! My current laundry combo is Tide Original, Downy April Fresh and Bounce Outdoor Fresh dryer sheets. This laundry combo makes our laundry smell fresh and clean, soft and static free. If the newer version is too strong for you, I suggest cutting it 50/50 with an unscented fabric softener (it could even be a store brand version) or using less fabric softener per load. If you still don't like the newer version, you could try Snuggle Blue Sparkle.
