[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sometimes tried and true is just simply better than anything that comes after it. This is most certainly the case with Downy, especially the April Fresh scent. I have been a loyal customer for literally decades now. A little goes a long way, maybe because they have perfected this fabric softener, and that only comes with time. This specific scent honestly lasts for months. I can be at work, scratch my arm and the scent bursts from my clothes, reminding me why I do not cut corners or sacrifice with cheaper brands.

This was my favorite product. The scent was one I used throughout my home in many ways. The new scent is not good! It's strong and too floral. I'm sure some people like it and you guys could have created as a new scent and called it April Strong but please bring back the old scent!

Buying the April Fresh liquid was the best decision of my life so far. My clothes are so soft and smell so good I think to myself, "Where have you been all my life?". Many people have commented on how soft my clothes feel and I wholeheartedly tell them how I do it, and that's with this product. Seriously go try it out for yourself!

I used it about 5 times and I noticed a reduction in fuzz and pills on my cardigan sweaters. The smell is present but not over powerful, lightly fragranced. It helped soften and protect my clothes from colors bleeding and fading.

I've been a faithful Downy user for more then 35 years and have always loved this product. Yesterday I opened a new bottle and was overwhelmed with the floral scent. I thought I had incorrectly purchased a scent other then original April Fresh Downy, but no I hadn't. Why has the scent changed? It still performs great on static, softness, and wrinkles, but the scent is so overbearing I'm unable to wear clothes that have been rinsed in it. Please bring back the tried and true original April Fresh scent we all have loved for years... From the reviews its very apparent I'm not the only one that feels this way. Let's hope P & G hears our pleas and brings back the scent we've all known and loved for decades. I'll keep checking reviews in the hope that the original scent returns, but until it does I won't be purchasing Downy again. So disappointed to say goodbye to a favorite product I've loved for years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved Downy! It's easy to add to the washing machine and makes my clothing smell fantastic!! I love how my towels and bed sheets feel after a wash with Downy! All my clothing comes out of the dryer smelling so fresh and clean. Downy also makes your clothing and linens less static and oh so buttery soft!! Highly recommend Downy with each and every load of laundry!!

Which is was, don’t get me wrong the product does an ok job. Does it do enough to justify an extra step in the laundry process though? For me and my seven member family, it wasn’t worth it. Please do give it a try for yourself though because the scent was definitely pleasant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking forward to trying the new Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Enhancer. I wanted to see how it would 'enhance my fabrics'. Well......wump wump. Nothing noticeable. I currently use another top name brand fabric softener. This new Downy didnt even compare. No strong lasting scent like my current brand. This is very important to me as I have a 5 year old that has 'accidents' occassionally. I truly didnt feel any difference in the texture of the clothes either....if anything...they feel rougher. This Downy is a lower cost than my current but Im willing to spend the extra for stronger lasting scent and softer clothes. I wont be using this again....not impressed at all.

This fabric softener is okay but not one of my favorites. It leaves build-up in the machines after a while. I do not have this problem with the other brands I use. The scent also doesn't last very long. Overall, it's okay but after trying it many times over the past 20 years I've decided not to repurchase this brand.

I was excited to try Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner, because we're typically a dryer sheet family. I'm always curious how a fabric softener would compare, and I was pleasantly surprised with this Downy product. April Fresh would not usually be my first choice scent, but it was not too overpowering when the clothes came out of the dryer. I liked the way our clothes smelled - not too floral or fruity. They were very soft, although I did not a bit of static cling. This could have also been because I used a bit less as I was apprehensive about the intensity of the scent. Overall, good product and makes me think twice about going back to dryer sheets.
