[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've worn my ring religiously for two months, and I've been incredibly impressed in both the metrics, the customer service, and the app. The app is constantly evolving, which I love.
At first, I found reading the data confusing, but as the app evolves, it is taking on a more "normal human" way of explaining things. I wouldn't mind the ability to choose between "normal human" and "intelligent data" with YouTube videos explaining--for example--what an HRV is and how it applies to your health and wellness. But I digress.
Looks -- I wear gold exclusively. Dainty 14K gold jewelry at that. Not one person has clocked that this is a "smart ring."
Comfort -- I wear mine on my right hand, index finger. It is more comfortable (and better protected) on my middle finger, but sometimes my sleep isn't tracked. The size must be just barely different from one finger to the next. (I also loved it on my ring finger, but my husband and BFF both preferred the index.)
Durability -- For two months of nonstop wear, the ring has a few scratches. Mostly from holding a fork. (This is probably why they recommend wearing the ring on your NON-dominant hand. Why don't I listen?)
Steps -- I wanted a kick to add more movement to my life. I enjoy that this tracks steps without my having to wear a bulky "fitness watch." However, if you are a desk-job girlie with a standing desk and a walking pad, this won't track anything. Something to keep in mind. I get around this by wearing a very old Apple Watch on my ankle. (A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.)
Cycle -- I skip multiple periods with medication. I have 3-4 a year. My ring seems to be keeping up with my cycles, regardless which is very interesting! Though it did have a bit of a tantrum when it was expecting my period and it didn't come for another week. Again, I've only had the ring for two months. I don't blame it for being confused. I'M confused. Hopefully, together, we can figure it out. I've learned so much about the different phases of a woman's cycle, though! The fact that it can warn me about upcoming mood swings or a possible decrease in immunity is AMAZING! I'm learning so much!
Caffeine -- The caffeine window is so fun and improving every day! Now I can track WHAT I drink (which automatically calculates how much caffeine in mg) and WHEN I drink it. Love, love, love.
Tags -- OMG THE TAGS. If you've had sex, protected or unprotected, if you have alcohol, what kind, if you're sleeping somewhere new, and so on and so on. I'd love more emotional options, but they still have options! And you can always create your own. However, I try not to create my own because there isn't a way to categorize the type of tag (for example: Emotional/Intimacy/Environment).
Basically, you get OUT of the ring what you put INTO it.
I'm having a great time.
