Good product, good price

We needed this toilet safety rail for my mother with Alzheimer's as well as for my father who needs his knees replaced. They've had some close calls (almost falling) using the toilet so we wanted something sturdier than a free standing grip. The holes aligned perfectly, my husband installed it as per instructions, and when he called me in to show me, I gave it an experimental shove from the side (I am NOT strong at all but tried to use a little strength as if my parents lost their balance and grabbed onto it). IT BROKE OUR TOILET SEAT. The plastic bolts of the toilet lid snapped right off. Now their toilet has no seat and we have no idea what to do with this safety rail... We'd return it but are still isolating due to CoVid and having very high risk family members. Extremely disappointed.

This seems to be of good quality and easy to assemble and install. There are spring-loaded detents that allow two different widths and five different heights. I ordered one on February 28, one on March 23, and one on April 5 - all identical - but the last one was $14.00 more than the first two. I don't know if maybe because of the COVID-19 situation they thought they could raise the price.

Like ALL commode rails, this one shakes andNEEDS A STABILIZING BAR about 8 inches above the floor. I constructed a stabilizing bar from an 1/8 inch thick, 2 inch wide by 3 foot long piece of aluminium purchased from Home Depot. After much bending effort (to pass around the toilet bowl) and reducing its bent width to 22 inches and fastening it to the legs (with two machine bolts per leg passed through holes that I drilled) the rails are now stable. ANOTHER deficiency (compared to an earlier (2016) model by this manufacturer is allergenic natural rubber covering rail tops. This is a soft, hard-to-clean substance compared to the easily cleaned hard plastic on the original model. I corrected this problem by cutting a short piece of plastic plumbing pipe, splitting it in half and fastening it to the top with 2 machine screws. A LOT OF WORK for this handyman with a shop and tools!

Very easy to set up. The big pluses are that these rails have rubber along the top part of the rail and down along the front. This is great to provide a firm grip. Also the rubber tips for the floor prevents slipping of bars on floor and also prevents damage to the flooring. The rails adjust easily to the height needed. When attached to the back of the toilet, it can be adjusted for the width so that the rails can be lifted up out of the way... awesome. Great pricing from Walmart and very fast delivery. Received in 2 days.

This is exactly what we needed. My husband didn't like the commode we had sitting over the toilet but needed the hand rails. We decided we needed another one to have on another so I ordered a second one. It was also delivered sooner than they had said it would be.

My new toilet was not compatlble with the one i had so i bought this one and happy i did. I am a 90 year old woman and found It was easy for me to install . I definitly recommend it. It has very comfortable padding on the arms and the legs are set back which is a good thing! Adjustable height was easy to do.

This is truly a 5 star item. The width of the rails can be adjusted so it is comfortable for a person of any size to feel comfortable . The padding on the rails make it easy to firmly grip rails in standing and sitting and the rubber tips on the legs prevent and slipping on the floor or sliding as person sits up and down and also prevents any damage to flooring. Since the rail height can be adjusted also, that allows the extra help for a person who has a tendency to lean. It prevents person from falling off as it is sturdy enough and stable. Recommended to many others as THE best one to buy, Have also recommended others to shop for home medical supplies through Walmart as the delivery is quick, predictable and variety of items offered along with excellent pricing.

My mom has a bad knee and I have several fractures from a recent fall. These bars help so much and make it easier and safer to sit and stand from the toilet. Recommend!!

Just the perfect size. Legs are out of the way to avoid tripping. Easy to install.
