We bought this mattress 30 days ago. It is the most uncomfortable mattress we have ever owned. We are tossing and turning all night long. This mattress causes extreme back pain and numbness in the arms for side sleepers. We have tried kneeling and walking on mattress to loosen up, but nothing works. I am now sleeping on the couch. We called 2 days ago to return and we are still waiting to hear back from a representative from Tempur-Pedic. So far, not an easy return process as suggested by salesperson in flagship store.

Sleeping on this for a month now. So far the best mattress I've owned in my six decades. I no longer wake up in middle of night with hip pain. There is no constsnt tossing and turning. I also purchased the electric base for head and feet elevation when desired, especially since I like to read in bed. All I can say is should have done this sooner. Haven't yet discovered what I don't like about it.

This was an upgrade for me from my previous Tempur-Pedic Deluxe mattress that I had for over 12 years and I have to say that I LOVE the feel of the hybrid model and have never sleep better. This hybrid model combines the incredible comfort of the tempur material with just enough bounce from the coils that I feel fully supported. I'm a 6'2", 190lb. 50 y.o. guy that has had previous lumbar/hip pain issues and now wake up feeling rested and pain free. I've slept on this mattress for over 4 months now and am very happy with my purchase!

I love the firm and conforming mattress and the fact that my wife and i can get out of bed and neither will feel any motion at all. We slept great and it is so good on our back. We are so glad we finally got the mattress to match our temperpedic pillows!

The first year on our new Tempur Pedic Adapt Medium was great. Soft yet firm, with support everywhere you need it. Just like I remember from the Tempur Pedics that I slept on for years throughout high school and again after college. But almost to the day one year later, I started noticing neck pain when I woke up. It wouldn't go away, and started getting worse. I got the Tempur Pedic neck pillow, which did help a bit, and my wife says it reduced my snoring. But the neck pain never went away, with some days worse that others. After a few more months, my wife started having trouble sleeping because of back pain. Then I started getting back pain when lying on my back. We realized the areas where we sleep had gone completely soft, yet the sag in the top layer did not meet the company's warranty standards - as determined from the photos that they told me to take and send in. But this issue is not visible from the outside; it is a failure of the foam cells throughout the midlayers of the mattress. I can feel it by shifting to the center of the bed where neither of our bodies lie while sleeping. It feels like a ridge that you can balance on, like a thin sliver of support. But because of the properties of memory foam, there is no way to evaluate this without lying down on it. The mattress retains it's level form even as the interior foam completely breaks down. The company makes an effort to brand themselves as 'high end' and charge a fortune for their products. But just like their beds, the support from Tempur Pedic's customer service team is also severely lacking. It is very impersonal and you feel somewhat betrayed after getting completely shut down without a fair analysis. I am very disappointed with the way this company has become after being a previously happy customer. I used to recommend the beds anytime the subject came up, but I will never again. The product has gotten worse instead of better, and their service is abysmal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really apprehensive given the amount of "memory foam" alternatives out there but I have never been happier with a purchase. My hip and lower back pain have completely melted away. I'll never NOT have one of these mattresses.

I have had the Tempur-Adapt mattress for a little less than two years now. It only worked and provided good sleep for a few month. I am sinking into the mattress so much that even when resting on the mattress for a short while I feel stiff and in ache. I mostly sleep on my back and side. I am very disappointed in the customer service and the quality of this mattress. I feel like their entire marketing, product description and premium quality is a lie. I've been sleeping better on my sofa.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this bed after RETURNING for an exchange, a recommended Sterns & Foster. My Dr. recommended a Tempur-pedic as I've had back successful surgery in the past. This mattress molds to your body. We bought the 'Medium' after trying it in the store along with trying the 'Soft'. It's been almost 2 months and my opinion is this mattress is still a little stiff. We were told to give it a 'few weeks'. We do believe we chose the right mattress for us. Wish we could have afforded the newer model that's supposed to be 'cooler', as we live in Florida year round.

The first night I slept on the Adapt mattress I woke up with no more body aches. Only slept on it twice so far and it is a little firm, but everyone who has a Tempur-pedic says it will take about a month to break in. I have Tencel sheets and don't sleep any hotter than my old innerspring mattress. I highly recommend getting a power base so you can lay in zero gravity which takes all the pressure off your lower back. As a total side sleeper, I think I could learn to sleep on my back. Raising the back is great for acid reflux or when you just can't get your pillow the right height. Looking forward to the mattress being broken in and will post another review at that time.

We thought this bed was a great buy and were excited to have it however I soon realized I was getting too warm when I wake up and need to move to a cooler place on the mattress. It was like the heat gets trapped. My husband on the other hand really enjoyed it at first but the longer we have had it, the more achy he has become and frequently has been waking up. We are both side sleepers and we think we need a softer bed also. This hybrid having 1/2 spring facilitates love making better than 100% foam but due to the aches and heat, we are considering a trade in for a traditional spring mattress.
