I celebrated my retirement by splurging on a Adapt Medium. I had gotten my money's worth out of my old foam mattress and it was time for a change, but this time I was going to do it right. I got an education about mattresses from our locally-owned Mattress Firm in Albuquerque and tried out just about every bed in the store. When I met the Adapt Medium, it was love at first sight and after the friendly salesman introduced me to the Ergo Smart Base, the deal was sealed. Sure, there was a little ticket shock at first, but you get what you pay for in this world and the time we spend sleeping is pretty significant, so why not get one of the best beds made? The company sent two young men to take away my old bed and set up the new one. They were in and out like a flash, but not before they showed me how the base works and answered all my questions. It's been a week now since I bought my Adapt mattress and I love it! Not only do I wake up in the morning feeling bright-eyed, but those aches and pains I've been accustomed to lately have all but disappeared.

1. We were super hesitant to spend this much money on a bed. 2. Wasn't 100% sold that it would be worth the money 3. Split King made me wonder if the gaps between my bed and my fiancé's bed would bother me 4. Was concerned the hybrid would be too firm 5. Did i mention the price? 6. couldn't tell if i was sold on the hype or if this really was a good bed. Turns out... 1. you get over it once you realize how much time you spend in a bed and how much a poor nights sleep ruins your day 2. Trust me it's worth it 3. It does sometimes but im in too deep of a slumber to care lol 4. Not at all, for me a soft was too extreme and i went back and forth on this for weeks. the bed gets softer overtime so a hybrid turned out to be perfect 5. If you can finance do it, we pay more than the minimum each month so it's not bad and it's interest free 6. this really is a good bed. I had mild back pain, acid reflux, and another health thing going on and this bed has helped FAR MORE than what i thought was possible for something as simple as a mattress. I felt the benefits immediately (mind you our old bed came from bedrock) but even still it took me no time to fall asleep. my fiancé had the medium (definitely on the firmer side so i do not venture over there lol) and he loves it. Now my cons: 1. Fitted sheets do not stay on this bed and it's the most annoying thing in the world. Buy sheet hooks, you'll thank me later. 2. If i was being super picky, i wish the base was more quiet. hearing my fiancé move his side at night when i'm trying to sleep is annoying 3. the mattress has a tendency to slide on the base. not a whole lot but i am giving it the occasional bump in the morning. Notice how these are mediocre cons? Buy the bed!lol

Got a twin tempur adapt. Store manager said it's good for hot side sleeper but he was so wrong. I'm 5ft 2 in nearly 200 lbs. Not only it's hot like an oven but my hip sag and only a little better if sleep on the back.Use to sleep 7-8 hrs but now 4 hrs.cos of the pain and heat.its been a month and it's still hot hot hot if add a topper it's too high for me to climb cos with base foundation and mattress it's 29 inches high.use a stool to get on the bed but fell down cos step on the stool wrong at night.i dont feel like changing to another mattress cos couldn't afford to waste time to break it cos I'm not young.want to buy a cooling mattress protector but living on pension I couldn't afford it. Even the mattress is financing.if I know tempurpedic is so hot I wouldn't have got it.its winter and I sleep with short sleeve and shorts but the heat radiates where my body touches specially the back. Hate the mattress. Even the pillow that I had been using is hot.is there anything I can do without wasting more money to cool it down

In my first week of sleep on this mattress..getting used to it. I sell this mattress in a furniture store and wanted one myself. I have a hybrid and had switched from an innerspring mu whole life. I was generally a side sleeper and now find myself sleeping on my back to become accepted into the memory of the bed. As I spend more time sleeping on the bed I know it will soften as the showroom model is softer.. So all is good here:...

We have a ten year old Tempurpedic Cloud that has withstood many guests and three moves. We knew when our own mattress needed replacing, we were looking no father than another Tempurpedic for ourselves. We were getting out of bed with sore joints, and felt a loss of sleep after tossing and turning. We chose the Adapt medium. While my husband likes it more on the firm site, and I like more on the soft side, this was the perfect goldie locks fit. We just love how this molds to us and yet feels cool to the touch. Our sleep is now restful and very comfortable. We traveled for the holidays and found that 'luxury' hotel mattress uncomfortable. When we got home, our Adapt felt like heaven. Don't fall for the other companies who claim they have some secret mattress. Tempurpedic is the original and the master of cradling you. Excellent value and longevity. We also got a couple of cloud pillows... absolute perfection.

It has not lived up to expectations, with what we paid I expected a comfortable nights sleep but instead wake every morning with a back problem. Talked to several dealers before our purchase and for side sleepers was told which would be the best choice.

Let me give you a little background... My husband describes me as the princess and the pea.... let me tell you I'm PICKY on mattresses. In the last few years we've gone through about 4-5 different ones and I almost about gave up and felt that I would just deal with back pain the rest of my life. I was seeing chiropractor on the weekly and my hip and sciatic pain was out of control. I woke up every morning miserable and glad it was morning so i could get out of bed. BUT NOW THATS ALL CHANGED! I told my husband we had to cough up the money and buy something nice, it had to work! My friends always rave about their tempur mattresses so We bit the bullet and tried the hybrid (less of a sink in mud feeling). The first few nights as it was breaking in were a little rough, but we walked in it and left the sheets off during the day to hurry the process. After a few days I was pain free. I couldn't believe it! This mattress saved my back, and i no longer see the chrio and hobble around. Its honestly been life changing!!! I hope it can be your miracle too! Ps- got the cloud pillow and it's FABULOUS. Highly recommend.

I'm still trying to adjust to this mattress. I am a side sleeper. There are some mornings when I get up and think this is a pretty good mattress, other mornings I wonder if I should have made a different selection as I have felt a strong pressure point on my right hip and soreness that lasts a few minutes after I get up, so It seems the mattress could use just a little more cushioning. I haven't noticed this so much when I sleep on my left side. I do have an old injury to my right hip so that could be the problem. I wouldn't say this is a terrible mattress but I wouldn't say that it is a super great mattress either.

Mattress was purchased for help with back pain and pressure point issues. Mattress was very firm but is softening. I like the mattress but it is very HOT. My initial impression is not a great one as far as comfort for the price. I guess time will tell. Btw, the cloud pillow is hot as well. Hopefully I can remedy the situation. I think the bed could be great if it was just cooler.
