I had made the mistake of listening to online reviews for a bed in a box hybrid mattress that was supposed to be excellent for side sleeping and back issues. Unfortunately for me it was horrible and so incredibly uncomfortable I sent it back after one month. I have Degenerative Disc Disease and a arthritis, so I'm used to sleeping with pain. After many months of trying out every store brand possible I finally gave in and bought the Tempurpedic Adapt all foam. We've had it for just over a week and I literally can't wait to go to bed every night. I have not awakened with hip or back pain one night. The mornings are so much better being able to get out of bed easily not crawl. I'm just kicking myself, that I didn't purchase this mattress years ago!!! Saving up now to get the adjustable base. Little more expensive than some other brands, but worth every penny.

This was our first memory foam bed, so we thought we were going straight to the top getting the name everyone knows. This bed was uncomfortable from the first night. It felt much firmer than it did in the store, and after reading more reviews, this is usually rated as a medium-firm on the comfort scale. We thought we would give it a fare chance, and ended up sleeping on it nearly the entire sleep trial, but the discomfort and pressure points that made my arms and hands fall asleep never relented. We ended up sending it back, which cost us $150 in freight charges, and it took a whopping 23 days for the refund to get back to our bank from the date the mattress was picked up. I would only recommend this bed to those who like a firm bed, and have money to burn. This mattress always felt hard as a brick to us, and we never saw the value in it for the premium price.

We have waited a long time to buy a tempurpedic, mainly because of cost after years of a spring mattress that didn't last that long and many back aches I pulled the trigger. We tried every memory foam mattress we could at the stores and didn't find anything like our temper adapt medium. No more back pain for me! Only one complaint. The cover is slippery so sheets don't stay put. Still have to find a solution for that one

We purchased the split King Adapt Medium & LOVE IT!!!!!!! Also purchased the adjustable frames, great for watching late night TV Should've purchased this 5 yrs ago Only slight problem adjusting to the cooling mattress, but after a few short nights, wouldn't trade it for anything. Am sure we'll appreciate it even more when summer comes, Las Vegas Summers are hot. Love the pillows as well & the underneath light, great for those middle of the night trips to the bathroom. The massaging feature is fantastic . ShihTzu Approved !

It was just "good" for the first 3 weeks... And after the break-in period I feel it is excellent now! I went through multiple mattress trials (not tempurpedic).. And I had to return them all. This is by far worth the money. I am a customer for life if this holds up over time. I have only had the bed for 5 weeks ..so time will tell! :) My husband has ruptured discs in his back and feels it is firm/supportive enough... And I am a side sleeper that needs enough cushion to sink into without creating pressure points or losing support. We are both really happy with it :)

No pressure points and very comfortable. I wish it absorbed more body heat - I get very hot at night and have to change positions a lot to stay comfortable. But most of the mattress is very cool so I can get cooled off quickly once I change positions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress replaced a Nectar which replaced an older sagging foam mattress. The Nectar is also rated as a medium firmness according to various mattress review/advertising sites but it conform to your body much like a slab of concrete does. I've been dealing with lower back pain for several years now and with the Nectar I could only lay on my back and would wake up with more stiffness and soreness than I had before going to sleep. The Tempur-Adapt has been amazing for my back regardless if I sleep on my back, stomach or side. When I go to sleep with a sore back from overuse I wake up with zero pain. Waking up pain free more than makes up for the cost of the mattress.

We ordered the medium hybrid Adapt mattresses based on trying them at a store. After a month we realized for sure that we were used to and wanted a more firm mattress. The exchange process has been a challenge. Through the whole order process and exchange process we were twice charged the wrong amount. The first time has been corrected but not yet the second time. The mattresses themselves are comfortable just not firm enough for us. We had been sleeping on an original Tempur-Pedic mattress that is 14 years old and still good. The folks have been courteous and friendly. Just the process and the charging system needs work so the correct amount goes through the first time.

After having this bed for less than a month, the support it provides made the pain go away almost completely. I love it. I am only giving four stars because I was expecting more because of the hype. I was hoping it would fix my problem of constantly being tired, but it does not. My boyfriend hated it at first, but he said he is finally having dreams again, meaning his REM sleep is back. Overall, I like this bed a lot. But is IS very expensive. I would however like to try the other mattresses

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used memory foam mattresses for years in my whole family. This mattress blows all of those other ones out of the water. At first we were a little skeptical about the firmness. Upon laying on the bed at first it feels like it is going to be a hard mattress, but as you lay on it you can feel your body kind of sinking into it. The mattress really does conform to your body. I used to toss and turn all night long trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep in. With this mattress I roll onto my side and I move maybe once during the night to readjust myself, because I no longer feel the aches from being in the same position while sleeping. I love that this mattress does not cause any aches and pains while sleeping in one spot for hours. I can even fall asleep better with this mattress. I have a hard time with falling asleep at night, but I get so comfortable and relaxed in this mattress that that hasn't been an issue. I used to have to take Melatonin just to be able to fall asleep. With this new mattress that has not been an issue for me. The one downside I think of this mattress has is the thickness. I personally prefer a thicker mattress, and a higher bed. That is a small issue in the grand scheme of things and I would choose a comfortable mattress over the depth of a mattress for visual reasons. I would recommend this mattress for anyone who wakes up with everyday aches and pains, because they WILL be gone. You will wake up refreshed and well rested!
