Good for margaritas

NOT DRINKABLE!! The smell and taste are bad. It doesn't taste like Tequila at all. Its made by Destiladora Gonzalez Gonzalez, S.A. de C.V. distillery NOM 1143 which ranks 104/106 distilleries. That is second to last!! I expected more from Sam's. Maybe its time to switch.

When opening this bottle it was instantly noticed that the alcohol scent coming from the bottle was as strong as most rubbing alcohols. There was no smokiness in the bouquet, just an extremely strong rubbing alcohol scent. That’s when we knew that it was going to be a complete disappointment and we were not wrong. I took a small drink from the bottle to avoid cross contamination with a glass and the taste was extremely metallic and unpleasant. The only saving grace is that the size of the bottle is enormous for the price, but that does not make up for anything. Even when mixing The tequila with a very well blended margarita mix it’s still had an extremely metallic, unpleasant, rubbing alcohol taste. The best comparison I would have for this tequila is Hawkeye vodka circa early 2000’s. This tequila does not taste better than Jose Cuevo, this does not taste better than Sauza, it is the bottom of the bottom shelf and is top three of the worst silver tequilas i have ever had. If possible I would absolutely return this to Sam’s and recommend nobody ever buy it.
