Purchased 2 -12 oz containers on 8/7/2026 and they were the mushiest berries I’ve bought from Sam’s. Not firm at all. Very disappointed. The pictures look better than the berries really are.

Curbside pickup order included 4 containers of fresh raspberries. 2 containers were fabulous, firm, fresh, and blemish free! The other 2 containers were mushy, brownish and/or moldy resulting in an expensive loss as they has to be tossed into the bin. It begs the question: Was the person who picked those 2 containers of rotten raspberries blind?

Why is the Catonsville (21228) Sam's having so much trouble even stocking fresh raspberries- or blueberries?! Btw, checking the app before I make the trip has proven more aggravating- because the app often says 1 or both are finally “in stock” again, yet when I come in there are none to be found. And according to conversations with Sam's produce employees, it's not that they've run out that day. Sam's actually hasn't been getting either one in consistently- sometimes for weeks at a time. It's extremely frustrating!!!

The berries would probably be fine if not purchased at Sam's. The last 3 (I know, dumb for buying 3 times in a row) times I purchased as an online pickup, they were either moldy or leaky. By the time I got home last time, my entire trunk and the food surrounding it had red berry juice. I think maybe Sam's buys too many to keep them fresh, but they shouldn't put them in orders when they're bad. So, only buy in person to inspect them.
