I was tempted by the low price of this large bag but it ended up being a waste of money, even though it was cheap. First, the carrot pieces were very dried out and flavorless - even though the bag was well within the expiration date - so I added fresh, grated carrot of my own. There were lots of large pieces of the cabbage core - the bits I do not use when chopping cabbage myself. Because many of the pieces are very long, it was difficult to eat - at least neatly - so I ended up chopping it in the food processor. After that and the addition of dressing it was pretty good but after only 2 days in the fridge (2 servings eaten) it no longer smelled fit to eat so the rest of it went into the trash - $ for this, my carrots and the dressing and seasonings I added, all wasted. With the extra time it took to prepare, the not-so-fresh vegetables and the short time it lasted, that's 3 strikes and out for Taylor Farms cole slaw. Will not purchase again and do not recommend.

Ok, I LOVE the sweet kale and oriental slaw kits, but they are PRICEY. So buy this, use oriental, ranch, whatever (lightly), add some sunflower or sliced almonds, some raisins or craisins and a few chow mein noodle crispies to get a very similar experience at a much lower price. I get 2 at a time, one for the shop and one for the house. Dump what you need into a bowl, put in the additions, mix and serve. Great with hot dogs or burgers for a super fast dinner. It keeps pretty well but has not yet lasted long enough for a real test.

Typically, I order this on repeat and am always happy with it. Tonight, not so much. It is the evening of 11/21 and the BEST if used by date is Nov 22,2025. Not nice Sams Club. Tell your shoppers to do better with dates or discount your products that are so close to being out of date.
