Great color and variety of veggies

I normally don't buy shredded cabbage mix because I don't know how to make coleslaw. But I have been wanting to make a cabbage soup and this was an easy way to prepare it faster. I liked the mix of colors and the variety of veggies, the soup turned out delicious!

Good value. Ease of use saves time.

I wish they would just sell cabbage at Sams but this is cheap and convenient and already choppped and mixed so it's easy to whip out and use as a salad of it's own or to add to another tossed salad. Having actual Coleslaw flavoring mix would be desired but probably double or triple the price. This is convenient and lasts quite a while in the fridge so I plan to buy multiple packages in future visits.

Good but could be better

The quality of this Coleslaw has been consistently good. I have always found it to be clean, and the price is very reasonable. Nevertheless, I wish that they offered an organic version, and that this contained more red lettuce and carrots, and less iceberg lettuce. I am not a hugh fan of the latter because of it's low nutritional value. I would gladly pay more for an organic version. With the aforementioned in mind, I still recommend it.

Versatile salad or side

I use this an an quick salad, but it also good stir-fried with a little bacon and onion or in cabbage soup. It you are having a cookout it is great for a quick slaw by just adding a little dressing. You can also perk it up by using some apples or pineapple chunks. We love having this on hand; with a large family it is a healthy, quick and inexpensive side salad or vegetable. I like to have a package on hand for most weekends to help feed a lot of kids or family and friends who stop by. It is also a great, inexpensive side to take to a cookout. The only downside is that it needs to be used fairly quickly. The upside is that you can always cook it and freeze for later if it is not used otherwise.

Quality on the decline

I have been buying this product on repeat for almost a year and I have noticed that the quality has declined. It seems like no care is taken about what is presented to the customers. There are hard inedible pieces of rind that should not be included in the finished product; I have to pick those inedible pieces out before I can safely eat what’s left.

Perfect for coleslaw

This last forever in the fridge. I usually buy two packages of this and mix with the coleslaw dressing that Sams sells from Jimmy's. Pro tip: if you lightly salt the tri-color coleslaw and let it be for 15-20 minutes it will draw out the moisture. Then you drain off the water. Then put on the dressing and pop back in fridge. This will keep your dressed coleslaw from getting watery and keeps in creamy!

It’s great Cabbage

I love this tricolor coleslaw for the flavor, the value and the cost per pound. It’s more cost effective to buy it premade in the bag at Sam’s Club than to buy each individual head of cabbage and carrots by itself at the local grocery stores. The brand Taylor Farms is reputable and they have organic products so it can be trusted.

Who thought cabbage could shine?

I really like this product for the size and price value. I use it for soups and stews, fried rice, stir fry and vegetable patties with egg and chicken and different things like that just pretty much whatever you can imagine using it for. It's a winner.

In My Fridge

When I buy this, I use half the bag to make a big bowl of coleslaw. I use half Mayo and half Member’s Mark ranch dressing to mix in with it. It really elevates plain ordinary coleslaw into something special. I use the other half in cooking. This is a nice mix, and the vegetables are firm and crisp, not limp. I go through two bags a month on average.

Sold past the best by date!

I placed an on-line order for this product with a pick up date for March 3rd, 2019 for a lunch event to be held on that following Tuesday (March 6th, 2019). To my chagrin the best by date o the bag was 26 February, 2019. After that was pointed out by a guest, I sent to the market for another bag and type of slaw. Also, there was way too much red cabbage in the slaw which had begun to slightly bleed; I prefer a lot more green cabbage. Can't imagine why Sam's would have added out dated food stuff in my on-line purchase. I will never again order such product(s) online but buy it in the store where I can eye ball it and check for the best by date and the amount of condensation in the bag. Would have brought it back but figured it wasn't worth the gas. Though, I will say it is worth the money for those who like a lot of red cabbage in the slaw.
