This bed is way too firm for me. I am 5'5 and 200 pounds, medium frame. I am a side sleeper. I experience a lot of neck, back, and shoulder pain. The recommendation for people like me is a medium firm bed, unfortunately Tempur-pedic no longer offers a medium firm in their new line, so I tried the firm and I experienced back, neck and shoulder pain for thirty days. My husband loves the firm, he is much larger than me though. I then traded the firm for a medium, which is better, but feels like it may be a little too soft, and it sinks down quite a bit, which makes it hard to move and hot. I do not know why Tempu-pedic decided to not offer the most popular mattress feel, which is medium firm, it is also the most recommended by pain doctors and regular doctors. If the medium was just a little firmer it would be perfect. The firm just caused me too much pain.

I normally toss and turn a lot at night because I can't get comfortable and I get really hot but this bed keeps me from sweating and I no longer wake up tossing and turning. I also have noticed that I don't have aches and pains when I wake up since I began sleeping on this bed, and I feel more rested. I really can't say enough good things about it. If you're in the market for a bed that will help keep you cool and comfortable while you sleep look no further than the Tempur-ProAdapt.

I love this mattress. I've had a Tempurpedic mattress for almost 20 years. When we bought a split king bed, I chose a soft mattress for my side after years of the medium firmness my husband likes. I prefer to sleep on my side and I'm finally waking up without a sore shoulder. I highly recommend this mattress for any side sleeper.

I'll be honest, the first week on this bed had me nervous that I didn't make the right purchase. It felt much more firm than the models in the store. I was finding my self tossing and turning and waking up stiff. However, after doing some reading online, I discovered that the mattress needed time break-in and for the Tempur cells to breath. For the first couple of weeks when I was changing the bedding, I let the bed sit "naked" for a few hours, and would even unzip the Tempur cover. I found this made a big difference in the feel and softness of the mattress. Within a few weeks, I was sleeping great. I have had the bed just about two months now and absolutely LOVE it! It's not too firm and not too soft - just right. And supportive too. I have been sleeping great and no longer have the back pain I was experiencing on my old mattress. Would highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress is amazing. At first yes the firm style matress was hard as a rock. But given a few weeks it loosened up and has stayed comfortable since. My only complaint is sometimes I do get hot, but I sleep hot normally and it is in the hot summer months now. I should've probably bought the cooling pro adapt mattress but just couldn't move myself to spend the extra grand on that price tag. But I'm happy enough with my mattress so I'm set.

My husband and I went to the mattress store and spent a long time testing out each mattress. The one we chose was not Tempur-pedic. We both have physical disabilities and each night we would toss and turn. In the morning, I would wake up with shoulder, leg and hip pain. The salesman did tell us that Tempur-pedic was the best mattress for that, but we did not listen. After a month of not sleeping through an entire night, we went back to the store an exchanged the mattress for a Tempur-pedic. We finally were able to sleep comfortably and through the night and wake uo without being in pain.

We would never have believed you could make a determination about the comfort of a mattress in a short 5-10 minute in-store trial. But the minute we laid down on Tempur-Pedics, we were sold! The only decision was whether or not to get the hybrid. We ultimately chose the Pro-Adapt hybrid because it provided a little more 'firmness.' As an older couple, we decided we could use the additional support to make getting into and out of the bed easier. So we chose the hybrid. We are 2 months into ownership, and couldn't be happier with our decision. We also got the Tempur-Pedic pillows and love them, too!

It is very supportive and soft at the same time. Very helpful for my husband's bad back. Great delivery service as well.

Got this mattress to replace our 12 year old Tempur-Pedic. My wife and I find this hybrid design to be much more comfortable, and no minor aches we had with the older mattress. We didn't expect this big a difference, and are glad we made the purchase. Well worth the money! FIVE STARS ALL DAY LONG!

I believe that owning a Tempur-Pedic mattress and pillow that is the right one for you is the key to achieving a restful night sleep and pain free. I no longer have to go for a biweekly massage that, oftentimes, only causes more neck and back pain. What is so wonderful about my Tempur-ProAdapt mattress is that it contours to the shape of my body. There are times when I do not lay my head on my Tempur-Pedic pillows, and that is absolutely fine too if you ask me. So far, I own two mattress from Tempur-Pedic and I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is going to last me more than 20 years. With care, weekly laundry-washing, and the soft touch of Tempur-Pedic bedsheets and pillow covers, I know for a fact that IT IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF ME!
