This bed was super firm, and so different than what we were used to in a traditional spring mattress. I went with firm bedside reviews say after a few years they soften a bit. This is like camping in a tent the first couple weeks. I'd say it really took 3-4 weeks to get used to. When you finally do get used to it, the sleep can't be beat. I slept so sound that first good night. I was skeptical and worried until that magical night about a month in. My husband acclimated more quickly around week two or three. I don't feel him get out of bed at 5am anymore! Another magical thing, I don't know how, but his insanely loud snoring is gone, and he rarely snores anymore at all! This bed is worth every penny for that reason alone!!

However, Tempurpedic customer service urged me to keep it because they said it takes at least 30 days to mold to your body and then you will feel the full benefits of the mattress. Well, they were correct because after 30 days, it felt so amazing I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning and the aches and pains of my joints certainly went away. After house sitting for my son and sleeping on his tempurpedic, just after day 4 my back felt so much better after years of hurting. I don't know how they do it, but somehow there's the perfect back support, but also it's super soft for my very arthritic shoulders and NO pain as a side sleeper. I'm 70 yrs old and I wish I could save people money by telling them to skip all the others and go with this one, wish someone had done that for me. Buy it, you won't be sorry and it's true when it comes to mattresses, you do get what you pay for.

The bed has been amazing and helped relieve the pain I was experiencing when combined with pt. I tried different mattresses at a store before I purchased this one.

We got our new mattress several weeks ago. My back pain went away immediately. I have been sleeping 10 X better and not waking up multiple times a night any more. Worth all the money. We got pillows too and also love them. Overall, very happy with the purchase

This is my 2nd Tempur-Pedic Mattress and the medium Hybrid has managed to even enhance my sleep comfort level, It's worth every dollar. Its also nice to deal with people that truly believe in great customer service from the showroom sales associates to the delivery personnel. I'm happy I chose them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i got this mattress because it was 'firm' and it is firm in the middle when i'm on it. however, the edges are not firm, and since i sit on the edge to get into my wheelchair, that's a problem. And i lean on it when i get into the bed, which makes the mattress move; that's not so bad because i can fix it easily when i'm off it. if a person with some disability is considering getting it, be sure to check the height; none of the 3" increments made it work for me, so my daughter got some things from the hardware and added them to two of the 3" leg parts, and now it's good.

After sleeping on a conventional pillow top mattress it only took three nights to adjust to the tempurpedic. I love the sinking in feeling when you get into bed. It really conforms to my body and doesn't transfer any movement from my spouse to wake me up. Best decision I have made...wish I would have bought this years ago.
