Not much flavor and some were mushy. I would not buy them again.

Several pear halves were so unripe they were crunchy.

WHEN you can get the jar open these pears are great. Im trying to open a jar right now and its impossible. The peaches are easier to open so Im sticking with those from now on.

I wish Sam's would keep the good items all year round. Those peaches are always fully stocked when I go in my local store vs these when they do decide to get em in

I just opened them and was excited for them for my toddler. I always taste everything before I give it to him. They were fizzy like had a zip to them. The syrup has bubbles. I feel like these weren't canned right. Praying for my tummy tonight :

My only regret about this purchase is that it's likely a seasonal item that will disappear soon. These bartlett pear halves in juice and light syrup have become a morning mainstay in our house as well as the occasional late night or other time refreshing, hydrating treat. It may or may not be any better value than canned pears but these are attractively, invitingly packaged in glass jar with the decorative paper . . . well, whatever you call the paper thing that covers the metal jar top, it gives it just a suggestion of a home-made product and it makes for a modest priced treat suitable for more than token gifting, and one that will be enjoyed. Yeah, a little verbose for a jar of fruit but we really love those things.

The pears are mushy. I ate one half pear and I realized that I could not eat anymore. What a waste of my money. I had eaten the peaches by the same brand a while back and they were delicious. However, Sam’s have not had them since. I hate it when that happens.

Great pears. We live in the South and love our pear salad.
